H1B queried Can we approach L1B?
Hi,
This is for my friend whose H1B got queried today.
She went to Chennai consulate, as usual :-), here case got queried for few more documents from comapny filed H1B for her.
Now she is having chances to apply L1 Blanket from a very good company, normally will ahve no questions at interview.
But, our doubt is, this H1B query and status has any impact on her L1B interview at consulate?
Please let me know.

I went to chennai consulate on 16th.
My interiewer was a lady without expression :)
Me: GM
Lady: Which company r u going?
Me: ZZZ
Lady: Which company r u currently working for?
ME: YYY
Lady: How did u come to know abt this company?
Me: Blah blaj blah
Lady: Whts ur highest degree
Me: M.Tech from IIT
Lady: Can I see ur degree?
(Saw my certificate)
Lady: What was ur thesis?
Me: (One phrase answer)
Lady: Did u do any part of ur thesis offcampus?
Me: No
Lady: When was ur passport issued?
Me: 200X
Lady: Is this ur first passport?
Me: yeah
Lady: Have u ever been here before?
(I never expected this question, so asked her to repeat)
Me: No
(typed on here PC for abt 30 secs)
Lady: Who is ur client?
Me: Its an inhouse project. I donno abt the client details.
Immediately took out blue form and marked everything and wrote "Need client info"
Lady: Get me the Client info and u need not come, use drop box facilty. Have a good day.
Me: Thank you

As per the communication received by the US consulate Chennai - Applicants suffering from infectious diseases like conjunctivitis should refrain from attending the US Visa interview. I therefore request all our Associates and their dependents who are affected with conjunctivitis (as the condition is extremely contagious) to refrain from attending the Visa Interview.
Please note applicants will not be allowed to enter the consulate and their appointments will be cancelled & a fresh appointment will be booked for them once they recover completely.
Request you all to bring such situations immediately so that proper step can be taken for rescheduling of the Interview.

successful H1-B from chennai
i have gone to chennai embassy for H1-B interview.
I have stayed in Rayal Palace hotel in triplicane. from this hotel free drop from the hotel management to consulate. single room is Rs.500/- per day.
My interview last for half an hour.
They have asked me about my previous experience.
she has gone for verification of my documents for about 15 minutes.
She asked me how u got the job.
it is in house or client side project.
if u say in house project u have to show project documentation.
if u say cient side project u have to show client letter.
another important thing is u have to carry your consolidated marks lists for the interview.
finally my visa is approved.

1) Where are you working?
2) How long you working in this Company? (5 Months)
3) Why Do you want to Go to USA? (I gave Brief ans)
4) Tell about your Project? ( I gave Brief Expalnation about Project)
5) Is it Client Project or Inhouse Project? ( InHouse Project)
6) Will They sell the product? ( No Idea about it) (This Question is only for me. I saw 8 people they didn't ask this Question to them)
7) They asked about Project description from the company Letter? ( I told that is in the List)
8) Can you give the TAX Documents? ( Igave the Documents)
After that she saw the Tax documents and She Gave me 221g form and Drop the documents in VSF Drop Box?
She all the list of petitioner Documents even submitted. She told don't send Passport in the drop Box.
This 221g means my application is rejected or will they do verification on my Documents.
Question1) while droping the Documents using the Drop Box, Do i need to drop original --> I 797, I129, W2 froms?
Question2) They asked my Experience Letters with Address. Do i need to Send originals Photo Copies.
Question3) Do i need to send pititioner offer letter original or Photo Copy?

I have requested this so many times to every one that this section is meant for posting experiences, and not for discussion and questions/answers.
We already have much better discussion forum section at http://www.immihelp.com/forum That is much better suited to read and organize the discussion.
I would like to know why people don't discuss over there? What exactly is the problem?
I would also like to get suggestions from people how we can encourage people to post questions in the discussion forum.
We already have written in red color in 'Add experience' page not to post questions. Still, people do.
And of course, we can't spend time and resources to move the discussion from here to the discussion forums. We tried that in past but it is too time consuming and people still don't listen.
