First I want to give thanks to everybody who have shared their experience.
I got my visa stamped at Mumbai consulate on 4th sept . My interview was at morning 9
I reached around 7:30.at VFS office. It was raining heavily. I had taken
the lounge facility, still they didn't allow me before half an hour.
This day the consulate was running very late, inside VFS office they allowed me
Only at 9 am. Around 9:40 I left for the consulate office.
Once you enter into the consulate office, you have to go through the security check,
After completion they will provide one wooden token, this is of no use, you have to
handover this token at the time of returning.(after completion of your visa interview)
After that you will get all your submitted forms (DS-156,DS157 etc..), here they will
provide you with one paper token no. this is the number which will be announced for your turn. be concentrate on the announcement. they will speak very slowly and with the American ascent.
My interview was like this:
me: good morning sir
VO : good morning
VO: why you want to go to usa ?
me: for execution of the project which has been assigned to me.
Vo: where are your working ?
me: i told the company name as xxxx.
vo : why you want to leave such a good company and want to join a small company ?
me : I replied that, i got a very challenging role. Better opportunity and better pay package.
VO: since when you are working with the current company ?
me : around 2 and half years.
VO: prior to this where you were working?
me : I was working with xxx. Prior to this I was working with yyyy...
VO : what is total years of IT experience ?
me : I am having xxx years and yyy months of exp.
VO : are you a bachelor or master ?
me : the word master I couldn't able to hear properly .I asked repeatedly three times
me : I replied I am married ..
VO : again he asked are you bachelor degree or master degree holder .
me : this time I told I am master degree holder.
VO : what you have done in Master degree?
me : I replied my specialization in master degree.
VO : then his golden voice came that your visa approved. You will get by courier with in 2 to 3 days.
me : I told thanks..

I got visa stamped in CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico on August 20. I met Victor Garcia from El Paso, TX who helped me in getting bank challan from mexico. One can have full details from www.victorgarciainternational.com I reached El Paso on Aug 19 and next day Victor Garcia took us to mexico in his van. He droped us at Holiday Inn hotel where we had reservation. After we left our lauggage, we went to US Consulate (5 mins walk from hotel). Went through security, finger scan and waited for our turn for VO interview.
My interview:
Me: Good Morning Sir
VO: Good Morning
VO: What is your new employer name?
Me: Answered
VO: What is your designation?
Me: I answered
VO: Where is your new employer?
Me: I told him the address printed on my I797
( Actually my company Corp. office located at different place, the address mentioned is of branch office. This led to some confusion. Be sure while you mention your company address)
VO: Can i see any letter/document issued by my employer?
Me: I gave him the letter (given to me by my employer).
VO: I am issuing you visa.
Me: Thank You Sir
VO: Come tommarow at 2PM and collect your passport.
VO: Have a nice day
Me: You too sir
Next day at 2 pm we collected our passports and went to hotel to check out. From there we went to Port of entry. Got new I94 and back in US

Doubt on Education Qualification
Hi All ,
i need a clarification like i completed my MBA in 2006 which is supposed to complete in 2004.
Due to backlogs i completed in 2006.
But i have been working from 2004 in top class MNC. I need to attend For H1B VISA in next week.My backlogs in MBA will it cause any problem in getting the VISA .Please share any one of you had the same experience .

I have to attend H1B Visa interview next week. Actually my petitioner is a service oriented organisation and I don't have a project description docs as of now with me as of now because my project/client will be decided once I land in US. Could any body tell me what shall I answer to the VO if he/she askes me about my work/client details etc.

Hi Rao,
I recently appeared for H1 interivew and got yellow 221G and it is marked that due to administrative process we need some more time to issue Visa.
Shoild I hope to get visa stamped...

Visa question form is not mandatory to submit along with the other documents which u are going to submit in VFS mumbai.
If u still have doubt call to US vfs customer care,mumbai's number.
Visa interview in mumbai is alright.But still,be prepared with all needed documents
