I am having my interview in 2 days from now . please can anyone share the experience at Delhi consulate. I heard it was easy to get through Delhi Consulate, but seeing the posts below it seems tough. Are they issuing 221 (G) for everyone ?

EVERYBODY SHOULD READ THIS --> THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND H1B
folks,
Every body feels as if they grabbed jackpot after getting h1 visa issued.But the happiness lasts only for the time u landed at port of entry in US.Every body who is new to USA on H1B has to work for corp-corp.In present trend even a very good experienced software chaps need to spend a 2-4 months of wait period to get a job.
Because among every 10 jobs.....
5 jobs are open for GC holder or citizens
2 jobs are open for those candidates who are willing to transfer their w2,s
u will loose the other 2 jobs beacause you resume wont match with exact job requirements.
So finally only 1 job will left to you.That a lot of competition behind us...
Now US IT job is becoming worse day by day.Maximum number of jobs presently were acquired by L1 visa holders who were send by TCS,Wipro,Infosys,Satyam.... etc.Especially these 4 companies and other companies are using the loopholes set for the L1 visa eligibility and making misuse of them.If one L1 visa enters US,that means 2 IT people in US are loosing their jobs.BELIEVE ME THOSE (G)OLDEN DAYS OF US ARE NO MORE HERE.IF YOU GET A 40K/MONTLY IN INDIA THEN THATS THE BEST COUNTRY TO LEAVE IN.Dont keep lot of hopes.

Information regarding H1B at Delhi consulate
Hi Friends
Please can anybody tell me the present situation for H1B at delhi consulate,I heard that nowadays it has beocome hard to get visa and for most of the people they are issuing 221(g),if am not wrong wat ever heard is it True.

H1B rejection with 221(g)
Hi All,
I had my interview on 11th September. There were only few questions and after that I was given a 221(g) form asking for some more documentation from the employer. They asked me to handover the documents at hyderabad VFS office without passport, does it mean that they will not approve the Visa even if I submit the documents as they didn't ask for the passport.
Please do help me.

I had my interview on 11th September. There were only few questions and after that I was given a 221(g) form asking for some more documentation from the employer. Visa approved in chennai H1B and H4's
I got the visa issued including my family i.e H1 for me and h4 for my wife and kid. it was very very easy.
it just took 30 min to complete the entire process.
my interview time was at 12:15 on 6th sept in chennai.I went there at 11:00 and they let me inside.
I have 3 plastic bags with me.
1. my all originals
2. xerox copy
3. milk and some cloths for my son who is 7 months old
At the security scan the security guard ask my to show the milk bottles and i showed to them and they told me to taste it, i said its my baby's milk how can i taste it, and then she told some one or the other should taste in front of her, then my wife gave the milk to my son. then the security guard allowed us inside.
they iniciall check for the documents and gave us the red folder and kepts all the documents in order and they told us to go directly to the next building coz we went with a 7 month old kid. so there was no waiting, but there was lot of people waiting in the Q but they allowed directly to the finger scan and then main interview. and at this stage the time was 11:30
the VO was a American and here was my interview.
VO: Hi
Me: Hi how are u today
Vo: good thanks
Me: that's great
VO: so what is your highest qualification
Me: Post graduation from Australia (sydney university)
Vo: can i see that pls
Me: gave only the main Certificate
VO: so what is the company u r going for in US?
Me: XYZ
VO: whats the designation u got from that company
me: XYZ
VO: what's the project u r going for ?
Me: told about the project just in one line
VO: look at me as if he was doubting me. and said so u will be doing XYZ
ME: looked in to his eyes n said Yes
VO: UUmmm Interesting.
VO: so will u be working at the clients place or company.
Me: i won't be working at clients place, its a inhouse project so i will be at the same company in so and so location.
VO: ok and then started typing on his computer for at least 2 mins.
ME: i was looking at my kids n wife, because my son was crying.
that's it "OK SIR I AM ISSUING YOU VISA U WILL GET IT IN 5 DAYS"
one thing i want to tell every one is i heard lot of people telling in the experiance that u should not get scared be confident etc etc look in to the VO eyes n all that stuff. and i also heard that VO will just type some thing in the computer but at the same time he will start look at u n see whether u r nervous etc etc,
well that's all crap i feel.
VO will type what company u r going to in US and also your highest degree in his computer.
and in my case when he was typing on his computer i was just looking in to his eyes whether he will look at me or not, but he dint look at me not even once.

Successfull H1B stamping at Mumbai Consulate on 14th. September
My visa H1B interview at Mumbai consulate was a nice experience. In nut shell, if you have right documents, reputed petitioner you will get visa stamping. Be confident in replying and have faith in god !.

Successful H1B + H4 Stamping at the Chennai Consulate...

My Name is Narayanan and I live in Chennai. I have been going through the immihelp
website for a quite a well now. And got lot of inputs on the visa stamping experiences.
I thought I will also share my experience in the website so that it will be useful
to others visiting the site. I got my I-797 in the month of July 2007 and looking
for appointment in the vfs website.
Then, I got the appointment in September and going through the documents such as
I-129, LCA etc. On the day of interview we were there in the consulate just 15mins
before the scheduled time and got inside.
First the my documents and then my wife and kids documents were checked. Especially
the DS156, DS157, Interview appointment letter, passport, I797, I129, LCA etc.
Then we were asked to stand in the finger printing queue. Myself and my wife did the finger
printing and the same is not applicable for kids.
We stood in the queue to meet the consular officer. When we met him he asked for the
pasport, DS156, DS157, interview appointment letter, I-797, I-129 and LCA.
After receiving all these papers he was asking me where I am currently working, which
company I going to work for, what are the various services provided by the consulting company,
tell me in detail about this company and the various clients that this comany work for etc.
He also asked me about my educational qualifications and asked me to provide the evidence
of the same. And I had shown it to him. Especially the highest qualification.
Afterwards he was asking couple of questions to my wife like how long we have been married,
about my kid, about my company and salary offered etc.
Then he was performing some data entry at his computer and said your visa is approved and
the passport will be couriered to you in a week time. We said thanks and left.

Background Check by Mumbai Consulate/VFS before Interview?
Hi,
I am planning to attend my H1 visa interview in Mumbai Consulate next week. I have submitted the necessary documents to the VFS office in Ahmedabad.
I want to know whether the Mumbai Consulate or VFS do a background check on the information provided in the DS Forms before I attend the interview. Is that reason why they are collecting the forms in advance.
I have to then inform my previous employers accordingly about this. Please help me whether any of you have such background checks done before interview.

Hi frnds....
First off all ..lemme appreciate the IMMIHELP web for giving us this opprtunilty....coz i have read almost all of the sections and the users experince...anyways...
I attended @ MUMBAI consultae for my H1B yesterday i.e 13th sep .... and could successfully get the visa...
The visa went out pretty kooool....and just in 10 mins i came out of the consulate..
me and my wife attended for the H1 and H4 visa..
as soon as I entered the cons..there was a brief security check and then after moving inside.. a lady gives us a pask with a pink token .Then the fnger prints .After this i just had to wait not more than 2 mins .While I m trying to find a place to settlle my self ..there was a call from counter no 3 calling my number....
went inside the countrer 3 ....he asked me some general questions like....present company and H1 employer etc...and he said....ur VISA has been approvved ...thats it....
I collected the visa in VFS office @ 5 PM ...
so simple....i din even open the folder which had all my documents...the visa officer din ask me any docs....
anyways... I wish god luck... all the other aspirants ....
