I came to US in June 2006 and took three months time-off to join a project on a respective salary. My W2 shows the correct amount. My spouse and kid have their H4 visa in Feb 07 @ Chennai. If VO requires an explanation for three months time-off, what can be answered. Please share your ideas and experiences.

Sucessful in getting Visa
Thanks to all who have posted their experiences, its helped me a lot to prepare.
My appointment time was at 1:45 pm, I reached the embassy at 1.30 pm and they sent me inside at around 2 pm.
After finishing the security check they sent me inside and VSF guys verified all the documents (passport, appointment letter, DS-156, 157, I-797, I-129, LCA) and they gave me orange color folder and then I went to the next building
After finishing finger prints, they directed me to stand in queue around 3 pm.
Finally my turn
Me: good afternoon mam
VO: good afternoon
VO: why are you going to US?
Me: To work as analyst for YYYY company
VO: what exactly are you going to do
Me: I explanied abt my responsibilities
VO: In which project you r going to work on?
Me: YYYY project
VO: Do you have any details abt the client ?
Me: I said No..
VO: Do you have any financial details abt the company?
Me: I showed the Tax papers...
VO: verified those and she said your visa is approved, it will be couriered in 2-3 days time.
Me: Thanks Mam, bye.
Be Confident....and pls don't lie..If you are not aware of anything, just say no and try to have some Mock interviews before you go...

Hi my name is Kumar and I have attended the Interview on 30th Nov.But its Pathetic day for me.b'coz my interview timing is 3.15 but they have taken my interview at 6.30. The conversation abt 30 sec and the VO issued 221(g) blue color form and asked me to drop it in a drop thru VFS.Now i got all the documnets from my petitioner but unfortunately I shifted to Dubai and working in Dubai.So can I attend in person instead of dropping them in the dropBox or Shall I drop in the drop Box as I have to get my passport within 2 weeks as Iam coming on leave to India.please suggest which one is prefered one.Does my Dubai work permit has any impact on my US visa if I go in person.please advice me regarding this issue.

I submittd the employer details and project details(221(G)) which VO askd me to submit thru VFS. i did not receive any information abt my application status,,
after 1 month i wrote a e-mail to chennai consulate reqquesting my status,
they said tht my application is in Administration Process and as soon as the process is completed they will inform further instructions..
can anyone help me out how much time will it take to complete the process..
is ther any thing to be done from my side,.?

Thanks for the details in immihelp.I attended interview on 25/01/07 in delhi.In the interview everything is fine and the VO has seen al the documents of mine and us documents.My us client has sent all including wagereports,fotos ....In one of the offer letters he has mentioned i will be doing project of some other comany.For that he has issued 221(g) green with 3 docs required.Asked me to submit in countr 5 or 6.while submission shall i have to carry al the docs and certificates? or only the 221(g) docs sufficient?where s the VFS office in hydbad? can anyone give the address?

hi all,this is ram
i need a small info regarding h1-b visa.my visa gets rejected in 2006 so i can for again this year or else i need to wait for three years.and also if i go next time to the counslate i need to same conslate where my visa gets rejected or i can go to any other counslate
