Hi,

On 28th November I have Visa interview by morning 10 O clock.

I reached US Consulate@Chennai by 9:30 and waited for my entry. It took nearly 2 hours to get inside. After getting inside there was a huge rush and again we got some bypass, and entered into main buiding. There they took my passport, I-129, Labor Petition and other required documents. They told me that they will call and handover the folder. I got folder in orange color. Nearly to process my docs they took 1 hour. And then I went to given the finger prints and waited for the interviw. Nearly I waited for 45 minutes all 16 counters were engaged and suddenly one person came and told me to follow him. A special counter was opened just opposite to main entrance of the Visa Issuing Hall, and by God's grace I have got the visa.
Balu: Good Morning Sir,
V.O: Good Morning and How are you?
Balu: Fine, thank you how are you?

I have my H1b got stamped on 13th Oct 2006. That time my kid's passport was not ready and my wife and kid couldnt attend the interview, along with me. Now i have taken the appointment date for them, on 2nd Dec. So is there any problem in attending the interview, before i travel to US? I am planning to travel in Jan. Since i have not yet travelled and not started working in US, without any pay stubs, will they reject the H4 visa? Please adivce. Because my date is fast approaching...

221g/Additional Administrative processing
Hi everybody,

My case(H1B Visa) was under 221g/Additional Administrative processing since Sep 7th 2006.Yesterday I have received a mail from FPU, Chennai asking for Passport, DS156, 157, colour photograph and a self addressed envelope.

Since they didn't ask for the Visa issuance fee, I was wondering whether my case was accepted or rejected.

If anybody has encountered a similar situation, please post your experiences

Your help will be really appreciated.

FYI: I have attended the interview for the first time on July 20th 2006 when I was issued a 221g asking for US company docs. Again I have attended on Sep 7th 2006 with the required docs when I was issued a 221g/AAP (Blue handout) again.

Regards,
kvdr.

Entrance for Dependants
Hi,
I have already got my H1B stamped in this and I am planning to go to US in Feb. Today I was told that, I can not take my dependants upto 180 days from the day I reach US and the rule is passed recently. Please let me know whether this is true or not.

Thanks.

221G - This office will contact you - Recd doc back
HI,

I have attened the consulate on 25th of October for H1B interview. I have been issued a 221G blue form stating that this office will contact you once administrative processing is complete. I called consulate they informed they that they require the passport and DD on Nov 1st.
Then they said that since the fees for h1B is waived off you need to submit the passprt alone.

I got all my documents from consulte today expect I797, but I did not get any update what to do next. Do I need to submit my passport alone in VFS or I have to wait until they send me a letter to submit my letter in VFS.

Did anyone faced this kind of situtaion please advise. Like whether we can submit the passport
without receiving a letter from consulate.

Please advise.
