got qaury at chennai consulate
Hi Guys,
I had very bad experience in chennai consulate yesterday. I got 221g - Blue sheet asked for additional information. I don't know what additional information they need from me. I had show all the documents to them ( even client letter aslo I shown to them). they didn't write anything else in that sheet. so should I wait call from US consulate?

A friend of mine who attended in Belfast has been asked to go back and attend in London. So pls dont waste a month's time with a hope that your application may be accepted in Belfast.

Hi All,
I got married recently and my husband is a greencard holder.I am trying for a H1B through a consultant. Should I fill in the marital status in DS-156 as married?Also there is a column in this form where I have to fill in if any relative/spouse is present at US and their status there.I am worried that if I fill in the correct details, I may be considered as a potential immigrant and there could be problems at the time of the interview. My consultant wants me to fill in the correct details.I am totally confused now....Please can anybody out there help me...Has anybody faced such a situation?

How to get early Chennai Visa Slots
Hi!
This looks like a cool website.
Can people share how they got early slots in Chennai? I can see that it is stuck with December appointments since around a month.
I also noticed on June 5 that some June slots were available.
Then today (July 3), I saw slots being available as early as September 20. On both these days, the action was between 12 noon to 2 p.m. I didn't take September 20 today hoping for an earlier slot.
Is an early appointment availablity some kind of a monthly phenomenon or are there certain hours or dates or days when there are higher chances of getting free slots?
If people who were lucky enough to get quick appointments shared their experiences with us, it would be great!

First time i went to consulte in month of oct 05,she had gone through all my documents my educational cir,and asked my present employee,and later she asked about my client.i got a 221(g),for the client letter.
second time i had submitted a letter given by my employee in dec 2005.she was not satisfied.again she gave me an 221(g) and told me to drop it in dropbox.i droped my application in the month of March 06.again for the forth time i got 221(g)
and asked for my clinet letter.i went to he consulate on 18 march.i informed the consular that due to the delay in my visa process,my project has been changed and submited client letters.she had take all the document which has been sent by my employer and client letters,given me a blue application stating APP(additional Processing).
Can any one had such kind of expirence.and how much time it will take for this process.

Lost my H1B Petition
Hi dudes,
I lost one of my baggage when i travelled by United airlines. Along with that, I lost my H1B petition too. Fortunately I had my passport with VISA with me. I have copies of my petition documents. For changing my employment or for any other purposes, do I need to have my H1B petition? Your response will be really appreciated as I am confused on this for the past 4 months.

Succesfull H1B visa in MUMBAI

I'm very thank to all the people which they have shared their experiences with this site.
I have done a lot of hardwork to get the visa. First i've take appointment with CHENNAI consulate. At the last movement i've cancelled my appointmetnt and I took appointment with MUMBAI consulate. Bcoz in Mumbai consulate the chances of getting VISA is 100%.
My interview was 10:30am. I reached over there by 9. I've relaxed in the park beside the consulate. My intervew questions are:
VO: Good Morning
Me: Good Morning sir,
VO: How did u know abt this company?
Me: Through internet jobsearch i posted my resume on DICE, my resume was matched with YYYY (company) requirement and they have conducted 3 rounds of interview and i've selected for that.
VO: Why u came to MUMBAI consulate.bcoz in my I797,my interview to attend is CHENNAI.
Me: Sir as im working and residing in MUMBAI for past 11 months.I thought that this is the convinence place to me.
Vo: In which company u r working for?
ME: xxxx
VO: He saw in the sheets which are pasted beside to him(whether it's blocklisted or not)
VO: Give me company letter
Me : I gave my offer letter(INDIA)
Vo: What is your role in this company
Me : I explained
Vo: Who is ur Employer?
Me : xxxx
VO: How many employees working over there
Me : I told exact figur which is there in I129
VO: Do you have PHOTOGRAPHS?
Me: Yes sir, i gave to him,
