Hi Folks,
I have attended H1B intvw in Chennai in Apr and given 221g for not having project docs.
I am planning to go again in a week or two. My doubt is do we need to carry the same DS-156 again? When I called VFS they said I need to fill up DS-156 from some site http://eforms.visa.....
Those who have attended for 221g interview please help me in this regard.

can you pls explain me the ur query. bcoz I too got same query. in my case they have given the blue form and put X mark one of the points and rounded the some part of it. my doubt is do I need to carry the document which is covering whole query or only rounded part. pls reply.

successful stamping of h1b visa at delhi first attempt
i had the appointment at 8.45am in the morning so iwent 1 hrs before but i was in line at 8.15am actually i booked my slot at delhi cos chennai dates were very high as 6 months so i booked at delhi
the moment after general proccesing while we go in line they tell us everything where to keep which form
the moment the took the form to submit with finger prints there was a window at the side of these submission forms the lady who took my finger prints said to go and stand at counter A there was just one guy in front of me she was interviewing him the VO is 50 years of age
i didnot even know that whether he got the visa or not, the guy who was in front of me .
then my time has arrived
me: good morning ( i donot know whether she listened)
vo: she smiled and said what the meaning of ur(current) xxxx company name
me: just paused a bit and said the meaning ( i too donot know the meaning of my company)
vo: what project u work?
me: i explained her briefly
vo: where in usa am i going?
me: i said xxxx place
vo: what project ur going to work for
me: i explained her
vo: where the place am i going to stay
me : said xxxx palce name
vo: whats ur salary in usa/
me :I said xxx salary tell her whats written in ur forms
vo: she asked my degreee certificate
me : i showed her my b tech convocation and ACademic credentials
vo :she returned all the forms and said something i didnot understand
i just stepped as side and asked the person query person she took my passport and dd 2300/- is it any query she said sir u got the visa . i was realy excited....i again asked did i really get she said yes sir ................
i answered every question to the point and iw as confident this was my first interview and got selected
good luck and the guys and gals just be confident thats it believe in urself

Successful 9th year extension H1-B Stamping
Thanks to all for posting your experiences. Here was my experience. I had my interview on 5th May and was well prepared will all the documentation that I could imagine with me. The main difference between my case and others is that mine is a non-IT job and my employer is a local government and that I think, makes a big difference.
During the pre-screening process, the VO just took the required documents - passport, DS156,157, H1-B approval notice, and I-129 application and put it in one folder and told me to only submit those documents first.
At the actual interview with the VO, the officer just asked me the following questions:
How long have you been in the US?
What have you been doing during that time?
Where is your employer located?
What do you do for your employer?
I see that you are on a one-year extension, so who has applied for your GC?
Where is your GC in the process and when did you apply?
That was all the VO asked and did not ask me for a single other document.
The only issue was that the waiting was really long and had to stand for at least 3 -4 hours and I noticed a lot of applicants were not really answering the VO's questions properly and hence were rejected.
I don't know if my experience is relevant to others, but thought I'd post it in any case.

I got 221(g) in singapore and have been asked to appear in India.When i contacted the VFS people they told me that i should come thru the regular process..i.e u cannot come for a walkin..u need to get the hdfc receipt / book an appointment.

Got H1B visa after 221(g) at CHENNAI

Thank you for this site. It helped me alot in getting my H1B.

Some how he checked something about 10 to 15 minutes in his system and google also. He didn't ask much. Finally approved my visa.
I got my passport in 4 days.

My suggestion to all is don't get disappoint when u got 221(g). try as well u will get succeeds ones.

Reg Additional Administrative processing
Hi All,
I got 221 G with blue hand out.
In the website

they mentioned that only people who received pink hand out can check their status. For blue hand out cases they only contact us once the processing is done. Can you pls let me know any of u received Blue hand out for AAP

You are eligible for emergency appointment

You are eligible to attend here in chennai like all other 221g holders.pls verify with VFS.If not .you can ask for Emergency appointment
by saying reason comming from London and all related things you can explain them.But my knowldge you can attend like all other 221g holders on specified day.
