Dear Mr. Raju.. please advice
Hi Raju and others,

Thanks a lot for your quick responsees.

If I am issued 221G from London to attend in India, can I still attend US embassy in India with out appointment (the 221G issued from here says that I dont have to pay fee again.)? I havent been living in India for the last 2.5 years.

In this case, do I still qualify for emergency appointment? Otherwise I will end up losing jobs both here and in USA.

Can you also please advice me the process to apply for emergency appoinment?

Thaks a lot.

Chaitu..

Do I need to book visa appoinment again after attending once in a consulate?
I work in London and am in Work Permit status. I have my H1B visa appoinment here in London this month.

These days, US embassy in London has become much worser than the one in Chennai. They are issuing 221Gs to 80% of applicants from India either to attend in home country or under AAP.

I dont think that I would be spared and so am anxious to know what to do next. If i am referred to India, do i need to pay the fee again and obtain an interview date in Chennai? I have already waited for a date here for more than 1.5 months. If I have to wait again for a date in Chennai, it wont be any day before 1st week of Dec !!

But the 221G issued here states that one doesnt have to pay fee anywhere again once paid for attending within 12 monthsfrom receipt date. I wonder if it means that I wont have to pay fee as well as qualify for emergency appointment? The delay in obtaining interview date agaib in India WILL affect my job here.

Please help me out guys.

Thanks, Ravi..

Thank you so much for your responses Anand and Arun.

Thanks, Ravi..

Are experience letters from coleagues acceptible?
Dear experts,

I have my h1b interview scheduled in London this month (I work here in London).
I am afraid that my current employer WILL NOT issue me an experience letter whatsoever (I work for an Indian company).

I will be fired if they figure out that I am going to attend US Visa interview.

I understood from some Forums that its possible to get references from coleagues in case the employer is troublesome like mine. Moreover I will submit prrofs of employment such as Payslips for last 6 months, bank statements showing the salary being credited every month, Tax Return Form for financial year as well.

Is it wise to do so or would it raise further suspecion to the visa officer if I submit reference letters from coleagues? Should they be notarised or can they be simply on our company letter heads?

Also please correct me with the format of the same too:

To who it may concern
