How to close the case
I received 221(g) at chennai for some documents about 40 days back. My employer hasn't responded so far to me and is not even responding for my mails. Sometimes I get response saying that I will get back to u shortly. Not sure whether he plans to send them or not.

How can I close my H1 case?
can some one say me the process for that.
Will it be issue for me with further H1 stampings if I have to go later..?

Successful H1 at Delhi
Hi Forum,

Firstly i would like to thank immihelp for putting up a platform where we can voice and see the concerns of gettinga US visa.
Also a note of advice to all the people here. Reading this forum, most of you might think getting a H1 at first attempt is a no-no or is completely screwed up, be at chennai or
delhi. But thats really not the case. Since most of the members who get stamped dont come back and write their experiences, the successful experiences are least here.
Also i strongly believe that, the candidates background in terms of his educn. , num of yrs of IT experience and your current employer play a major role here.
Anyways the key is how you present yourself when you face the VO.
My background is BE Electrical&Electronics with 6.5 yrs of IT experience and my current employer is one among top3 indian companies. This is my first travel outside india and no other stamping whatsoever.
Actually in jan-end i had booked a slot at chennai, but seeing/hearing so many 221Gs there, my employer asked me to book a slot in Delhi instead. I am from blore, but he said, delhi consulate is cool and they dont bother you much.
Here is how the interview went

I had a slot at 8:30 and i was at consulate by 7:40, once in the line at the first window they verify your DS forms, I797 and DDs. There he staples those docs to your passport and asks you to enter the main inteview building. Delhi is really cool, they allow your mob phones inside (but need to keep it off) and bags/covers etc all are allowed inside. You just need to go through a security check/scan. They dont give you seperate folders too to keep your docs seperately. Just arrange them in some file and take it inside. After scanning your index fingers (both hands) you stand in a line. There are 3 boxes and 3 VOs and you dont have a choice to choose them. Two are ladies (one 50 another 25) and one guy (30 yrs) all seem to be good except the old lady.

I donno why my gut feeling wanted to me goto that guy, but when my turn came it was with that 25 yr of lady. Before my case, she was asking lots of ques to the earlier candidate, i think he got stamped finally.
So when my turn came here is what happened -

As i was walking (and wanted to say Good morning)
VO: Hi, how are you !
Me: Good morning, i am fine thankyou (not sure she heard that )
VO: Is this the first time you are going to US ?
ME: Yes madam this is the first time.
VO: Can i see your passport and those pinned docs ?
ME: Slided those through the small opening in the window.
VO: Why didnt you goto Chennai ?
ME: The waiting time there is very high something like 6-7 months. I have a important assignment in US and my employer wants me to come there urgently.
VO: Couldnt you have planned before
ME: Yes i could have, but i received the docs from my employer late and since chennai dates were hight 6-7 months i chose delhi instead.
VO: After 10sec Why do you want to goto US
ME: Madam, primarily to improve my career. There are lots of companies in US who are now opening a offshore dev. centre here in india, i want to goto US to learn the offshore model and business culture, programming styles and ocme back to india and then look to become a Offshore co-ordinator.
VO: What will you do in US
ME: I will be working on embedded systems and RTOS programming.
VO: Whst is your educn. qual and where did you graduate from
ME: BE (Electrical and Electronincs) from *** Univ.
VO: Can i see your degree cert.
ME: I gave them
VO: Your degree is not purely in computers ?
ME: After my degree i have been trained in computers and programming at some computer institutes and right after that i am being employed in software companies. ( I didnt think too much as to what to answer, just maintain eye contact and be confident in whatever you are saying)
VO: (Seem silent)Where will u work in US
ME: ### company
VO: Oh, so your current employer is not your petitioner ?
ME: No.
(Actually its a consultant)
VO: She was typing somethingon her comp and was busy ( i think she was searching about my petitioner details on web) for 10-15sec
VO: Ok done, you will recieve your passport through courier. I am done with you.
ME: My face really lit up and said thanks. I bent down to collect my polythene. I faced her and said, can i now go madam.
VO: Yup, you are done.
ME: Thanks, and i left.

Guys, as you can see she didnt ask any damn docs, i had carried quite a few of them (and ofcourse no client letters ). I think she must have sensed a strong case here and with my background and confidence hence she issued a visa.

So freshers here who are awaiting their turns, and if you think chennai is real bad, then better resched to delhi you might loose on 2/3 months but getting a visa is sure !

If you have any queries pls do mail me ([email protected])

H1-Chennai May 1st
Hi all,

I went chennai embassy on may 1st. It is through a small consultant. But I got stamped in the first time itself. I believe it is only due to the blessings of God.

1-Waited outside in the street for getting into the consulate campus
2-One person verified the appointment letter
3-Get inside in the before 15 minutes into the consulate
4-One girl checked the documents again
5-went inside and waited in a queue for around 40 minutes
6-One officer took the h1 docs and told to go to next building for interviw.
7-Went to next building after drinking some water!
8-Waited for the folder around 20 min
9-One officer called the name and give folder.
10-Waited 40min before going for fingerprint queue.
11-The fingerprints took, and the officer(an american) told to wait in the lobby, and they will inform which q for the visa interview
12-waited for the visa interview in for another 30 min

(Guys...forget about these steps....the staff will hep for all these steps...even illiterates can manage these things...so dont worry abt these,be there outside of the consulate around the appointment time..thats all )

vo-Good afternoon, how r u?
me-Im fine sir..
vo-give me the folder
me- gave
vo- Which company u r going
me-abc inc
vo-How u fidout this job?
me-dice.com
vo-r u going to client?
me -yes ccc client
vo- describe the project
me - just described..( Describethis in minimum words..not with full of technical words.. try to tell in a way so that a non technical man can understand it. If u feel he is not listening it then wind up ur talk..)
vo-Any client doc?
me-give the project description
vo-Just a glance...for 1 sec
vo-Ur visa is approved
me- sir there is a small mistake in the visa approval form of mine...just pointed out to him.
vo-smiled and just enquired it with his colleque
vo- forget it man, its not a matter.
vo-Go and pay the fees.

The interview was very cool, and the officer was a very nice guy.

Guys the dont worry abt the interview, go with only genuine docs even though it is minimal. Dont show any thing fake. Pray well. success is urs

All the best to visa aspirants

Guys can u tell me what is batch id no.
Applicants for non-immigrant visas no longer have to spend their time making calls and sending e-mail messages to the embassy to check the status of their visa cases which have been refused pending administrative processing. The case list below is updated on a daily basis to show the cases that have been processed. A case will have only one of three remarks “Pending process” or “Contact the Consulate” or “Send Passport”. Details about the remarks are given below:

I went in to the website to check the status of my application but for some reason we need to know BATCH ID, guys can u tell me what is Batch ID.

Thanks a lot

Got 221(g) In Singapore
Hi All,
I went this morning for interview here in US Embassy (Singapore) and got 221(g). It seems that 221(g) is common where ever you want for H1B stamping. VO required me to produce the following:
1. A detailed and specific description of the internal development project to which the beneficiary will be assigned. Include a complete technical description of the project, timeline, current status, number of employees assigned to it, location of the worksite and marketing analysis for the final product.

 2. A complete itinerary of services or engagements specifying the dates of each service or engagement, the names and addresses of agent, the names and addresses of the actual employers, and the names and addresses of the establishment, venues, or locations where the services will be performed.

Please email me if you have a sample for this.
Thanks.
