What is the processing time in San francisco consulate?

I have applied for passport renewal at NY embassy and received a mail from consulate to provide wife's passport copy until then your application is On-Hold.

I provided the required document next day (attached the doc on my reply to their mail), but haven't got any response from consulate yet, it's been more than 4-5 days.

Should I be worried?

Note: I recently got married and not adding wife's name in the passport.

Nearly 3 weeks to received the renewed passport at Chicago consulate!
Mar 03 - Passport received
Mar 02 - Fedex picked up passport
Mar 02 - Consulate reviewed and sent to CKGS
Feb 17 - Sent to Consulate
Feb 13 - Received by CKGS
Feb 12 - Dropped the filled up form and documents at Fedex

Sharing my own experience -

1) Didn't add any lose photos, only pasted 2 photos on 2 forms (no of forms needing photo is applicant dependent). Got photos from local Costco and just asked for passport photos and didn't mention anything exclusive.

2) I opted for CKGS paid shipping for both sides (FedEx).

3) Used USPS notary.

4) For adding spouse name I didnt add any document as there was nothing on checklist. (Yes this was a surprise)

5) Forgot to paste the application barcode on the FedEx envelope (a small barcode which is there in my account page for printout and it has the ref number from embassy website ). They should put this in checklist but anyways this didn't turn out to be an issue. May be this is because it took 4 days to update the status to received for me,

Here is the timeline:

Feb 24th Mon - Dropped the package at local fedex.
Feb 25th Tue - FedEx delivered to CKGS (from this point I was worried as I didn't paste application ref barcode on the outside of FedEx Envelope.

Anybody has experience of passport renewal when validity is less than 6 months?
Does it really take longer?

It was so nice service. I am just amazed by the quick and wonderful service.
It just took seven working days.

Hello Everyone,

I have submitted my Passport renewal package via Fedex (CKGS generated) courier on 26th Feb and it got delivered today morning. I am going through CKGS status tracker and it still doesn't show Received ( First step in the tracker). I have seen multiple post here and most have posted their application being received and verified same day. I am just curious, is there anyone here with same experience as mine and how much time it took from them to update tracker.
