Indian Passport

I got money gram money order for CKGS passport fee payment, however the name 'Cox & Kings Global Services USA LLC' does not fit on one line. Can we write it in 2 lines? Will CKGS accept that? Has anyone faced this issue. Can you suggest what can be done.

I am applying for my 10 year daughters passport renewal. I have a couple of questions

1) Do we need to self attest the Color Copy of my visa, wife's visa and daughter's visa and address proof or they just need to be notarized. The checklist just mentions to notarize and not self attest.
2) On the last page of the Passport Application form for the signature it is mentioned in bracket (applicant is minor. either parent to sign). Do either of us only have to sign in the box or is it both my daughter and either of us? Do we also need to notarize this page as it is not mentioned in the checklist

FYI,

For Indian addresses that don't fit in the government form, it is okay to shorten some address words like : Extension, Colony, Apartments etc.

To support this, CKGS wanted a letter addressed to the consulate, explaining why the address was shortened - with actual full address and the shortened address mentioned as well.

This worked for me and my passport was delivered in ~1.5 weeks.

I applied for Indian passport on CKGS with SF consulate.

Sent my package to CKGS on: 09/19/2019
They sent it to consulate on: 09/20/2019
Consulate sent my passports back to CKGS on: 10/03/2019
I received them on: 10/04/2019

Paid nearly $160. Much cheaper and simpler process to get it done in India.

Hi,

Applied for passport renewal on 10th September and the current status on CKGS is below and not changing. I have still not received the passport thru UPS.

Can someone please advice why the status is showing as "Passport has been collected by so & so person" when infact I paid the fees to get the passport delivered by CKGS?

Time to share the experience with the passport renewal. I sent my application by UPS on 9th Sep and got the renewed passport delivered on 18th Sep. Overall great experience, given I had made some mistakes (dob and staying since date) in the CKGS form before sending the application to them.

In case of mistakes in the CKGS form that you can't correct, its easy to cancel your application if you have not already posted it. Make sure you don't sending print the label (from you to ckgs).

Calling the CKGS helpline is not free. Charges ~$2.5/min and the guys though helpful will try to extend the call for no reason.

Hi,

Has someone been able to choose online payment option when they start off their passport application with CKGS ? So far I have done the below steps :

1. https://passport.in.ckgs.us/
2. Passport Application -> Get Started
3. Started filling in applications as an Adult, residing in the US.
4. As I filled through particulars (I am trying to renew my passport), on the "submission and collection details", I selected the below :
 a. How will you submit application : Shipping
 b. Do you need text alert service : Yes
 c. Select Mode of Payment : At CKGS center <-- there is no other option and I can't go past without filling this.
 d. Select Instrument Type : Cashier/ Banker Check / Money Order.

I thought we could pay online through credit/debit cards. I am not sure why I'm being forced to pay through MO/ banker check. Can someone tell me if something changed (or) if I have done something incorrect ?
