The questions in this forum really helped me. We had our visa interview on Monday. Pretty straight forward and simple. These were the questions they asked.

L1 (for my husband)
-which company are you working for?
-how long have you working there?
-what visa type are you applying for?
-is it individual or blanker petition?
-what is your salary?

L2 (for me as a dependent)
-how long have you been married?
-what's your husband's date of birth?
-is your husband a good cook?

That was all! The officer informed us that our visas are approved.

It is not as difficult as some of the posts in this forum make it out to be.

Just ensure that you are answering confidently and clearly.

L1B VISA got approved with my dependents
Today, I was lucky enough to get through my VISA for L1B.

The below are the questions that the office asked:

1) What is your Indian salary

2) Which company you are working and how long?

3) To which project you are going to US and how long is your duration of project?

4) What is your specialization? (He was looking for a good reason for this question) This question holds the key for getting L1B VISA and that is what I could sense.

5) What is your role in offshore in this project?

Then he told you are through.

We need a bit of luck to get through the interview

This forum was very helpful for preparing the visa.

I got only 2 questions,

VO: How long you are working as manager,
Me: Last 4 years

VO: Explain your roles and Responsibility

Me: Responsible for end to end deliver of the projects. Planning, co-ordinating, monitoring and executing the projects.

I Stopped here. VO asked me continue

Me continued: Building project plan, assigning tasks to subordinates, co-ordinating offshore, onsite, customer business team, cusomter IT team and other teams in the project. Also will be projecting the status dashboard in steering committe meeting, running the status meeting to find the current status of projects and if any slippage accordingly adjust the deliverables, attend change control meeting

VO then asked my spouse when we got Marriaged.

Thats It. Seems to be simple but,

1) Do not show your are nevrous, US is not the world. Go in this attitude.
2) For L1A - Minimum 8 years of experience with 3 yrs as Manager and above 9L Indian salary.
3) Mininum 7 onsite subordinates and 10 offshore subordinates.
4) Well prepared PRD
5) You should answer this questions 'roles and responsibility' even in the middle of deep sleep.

My L1A was approved in April. Thanks a lot to immihelp for helping me prepare. Following questions were asked:

1) What is my Indian Salary?
2) What would be my role in US?
3) Which city I'm travelling to in US?
4) How many people am I managing in India and US?
5) What would be the reporting structure when when I travel to US?
6) Which Client is it for?
7) What is the size of my account in $M?
8) Will I be hiring associates in US as per the requirements?

I would recommend L1A candidates to be dressed in a business suit. It does leave a good impression. Also account size in $M helps.

Good Luck to everyone!!
