L1-A Approved at Chennai
Thanks to this forum that has helped and guided so many individuals like me. After reading thru the posts, one can get an idea of questions asked that is a great comfort to begin.

My interview was quick but with obstacles along the way.

1. My photo had a shadow and hence was not accepted. But luckily the chennai consulate has a photo studio right inside the 1st building that was handy. They charge about 100Rs. for 6 photos.

2. The visa fees changed due to fluctuations in dollar rates. They provided me options to pay in full (in Rs or USD) or partial amount by cash. Please carry 10K Rs. in cash to avoid hassels of paying in full.

3. The main interview was short. I just has a case of L1-B rejection in front of me, so was a little tensed. But the VO was cool...she asked me from where I have come, where I will be going, am I applying for same visa category again, how ppl report to me and that's it...

My visa was granted. Thanks once again to all previous posts.

Tips Crack Interview
Hi All,

These are the thins i observed while attending the interview.

1) You must say these two words while explaining specialized skills
->I am having extensive experience in my company proprietary tool
-> I am specialized in "xxx" domain, please don't i am expert in some protocol , use domain term
2) Wish the visa officer.
3) Dress neatly " wear tie" this will give professional look

But it is not 100% luck, 70 % on your shoulders.
So prepare it carefully. hope you all should get it.

Best of luck for all.

L1B and L2 visa
My visa is approved today in Chennai.

I was really nervous but it was very simple for me.

I was roaming around different counters and I noticed for everyone visa is approved.

My questions:

1. what is your company?
2. have you been to US before?
3. why are you going to US?

To my wife:
1. since when you are married ?
2. where did you get married ?
3. where are your in-laws?

L1B Approved
Hello People

I just finished my visa Interview for US L1B and got it approved. The process went on very smooth, and there is no need to be tensed if you going for the first time.

It was scheduled at 11.15 for me, but I went there at 10, and my interview over by 11am itself and I was out at 11.10 :)

I was asked below questions.

VO: Hi, Good Morning.
ME: Morning Officer. How are you doing?

VO: I am good. (She smiled looking at me)
ME: Smiled back ;)

VO: She just glanced on the folder I was holding, which had my previous company logo on it, and asked me if I was working with that company still.
ME: I said I used to for X years, but now I am with Y company for X years.

VO: Who is sponsoring your trip?
ME: XX person

VO: Whats your specialization?
ME: I spoke about my domain expertise.

VO: You will get your visa in a week's time. Enjoy the trip.
ME: Thank you officer, you have a good day ahead.

Tip: She(VO) just needed a confident answer. Don't ever mention my team or our team. If you say so, 100% you will be rejected. I saw this happen to two people infront of me. the Visa is for you and not for the team. So talk about your strengths and accomplishment rather than the team's. Just be lively, smiling, and answer what she asks with what you know. Do not create answers there, which will make you look not confident and hence visa rejection.

Thanks to the forum. It has helped a lot and gave me confidence. I hope my post also has done the same for many here.

Wish u all good luck and all the best.
