We have appeared for the interveiw dated 11 july 2011 at delhi , the counslate asked following questions:
1.where you will be stay in USA
2. What will be your USA salary
3. what you will do in USA
4. Why your company is sending you
5. what is your specialized knowledge
6.What is your qulification
we have given the answers of all the questions appropraietly , after our interveiw she told us " only few candidates can get these visa " you should apply in some other categories like H,O then we will issue your visa and u can filed your application tommorrow itself , not given any rejection letter etc .
what should we do now , re apply for same category or I have to apply for H category plz help us we are so much confused after rejection of L1 can we get H1-B visa ?

Our Visa got rejected. It was predetermined. whatever questions she asked I have replied correctly. but everything went in vain, Highly disappointed.

L2 successfull stamping - H1 in Admin Processing
My Husband has attended L2 visa interview on Oct 13th.
He had H1 visa interview in Aug which is in admin processing(221g).
My company immigration was hesitant to apply for L2, as they have seen cases where H4's were rejected, as people are immediately attending as dependents after H1 pending/Rejection.
the first question VO asked is What happened to your H1 sir?
Ans: My emp may revoke my petetion
Q: why is that? he dont have a job for you?
A: we have a job but as my case is with USCIS currently, my emp cant wait for such long time to hold my job.
Q: to which company your wife works for?
Q: where does she live in US?
Q: how long you have been married?
and after that he said you will receive your passport with visa in a week.
Note: we have a 2yr old baby who is US citizen.

Hello All,
I would like to say thanks from my bottom of heart to all who have contributed their experinece over hear.
To mention in special, a very big Thanks to immihelp, which helped me a lot in know thing VISA related queries and answers.
On 12th Oct' 2011, at Hyderabad loaction i have appeared for my L1A VISA, and got the VISA.
I had dressed up well, with Suite & Tie (all in Blue shades) was there at 9:45AM IST sharp as my interview time is at 10AM IST
Had paid my DD's, given 10finger biometric readings and taken a token waited there for my turn (Approx 3min)
me: Greeted her ..Good Morning!
VO: Good Morning, how do you do?
me: Fine, Tahnk you..How about you!
VO: Fine thank you
VO:Asked for my Passport and other L1A related documents
me: Had provided all and waited for her question standing straight forward kept my hands at rest
VO: What do you do?
me: I am currently a Project Manager handlig offshore & onsite as a single point of contact to client
VO: How long have you been doing this job?
me: around 3+yrs as a PM & possing an over all years of 13yrs experience
VO: Why you need to travel now/
me: Currently project phase in impementation and 70% of deliverables are from onsite, i need to be part of them
VO: How big is your team?
me: 17 associates
VO: What about team strenghts in this operation?
me: We do an ERP implementation and associates are of Engg, MBA's & CA based on their role & responsibilities we have comgomarted them accordingly

I am approving your L1A Visa ...she smiled and said you can pick up the passport after a week days time.
It went on for about 15 - 20min.
**There was some gap in between ...when she has discussed with her colleague about my case for about 5-7 min ...many a times she has typed my answers...

I got L1-B approved for me and for my family at Chennai.. I am not going to repeat the question which are already share by many in this site.
Here are few tips for Interview
*While filling DS 160 ‘Duties’ with current employer specify your special skills. Highlights your unique skills.
Don’t write to much at same time don’t be very short.
*Show directly or indirectly that you are resource with unique / specialized skills.
*Always make eye contact even Visa officer is not looking at you.
*Try to smile little, Don’t show any nervous ness on your face. They can read faces very well.
*Be precise in your answer, make perfect ending of your each answer it reflects your confidence.
*Don’t show you are very desperate to go to US.
* Be confident.
*if you not understood the question ask him to repeat don’t make any judgment.
*Take practice session of question and answers at least for 2-3 times before interview.

without immi help i can not do well visa interview. i want to appericate all the ppl was posting there exp. My interview time 8.15 , i book the cab around 6.45, the cab driver instead of going from one way he went in other way. i thought of asking him,,but again legnthy discussion will come i decide to sit calm.I went around 7.20 consulate office..outside had given token. after formalities finish i went inside for interview.. it almost 1hr waiting.. (vo officers went for break fast).
before me 3 person got visa..my confidence level was increased. my company product base company.

My wife attended for US consulate hyderabad on sep 12 2011 , she has been handed over an 221 g form [white form]. it has been3 weeks that i have submitted the questionaire they asked, but i havent got an response from them. can any body plz help me out regarding the time lines for 221g .
