Need Information about Immigration Status of Visa on maternity leave on L1 B
I am on L1B visa (LTL) . I need information about the Immigration Status in case a person goes on maternity leave (paid\unpaid both).
Will the Visa Status be changed to OUT OF STATUS (Default) in case of unpaid leave?
Also, if the Visa Status is changed to Default, then in that case for how many days the person can stay in U.S.
My husband is not in same country so I cannot change to any other visa. Kindly share information on this. Thanks

Thank you to all those who have provided your valuable experiences on this site. It helped me in understanding the process and what sort of questions are asked.
I got my L1B approved. The interview was for 3 minutes, and I was asked the following questions:
1. How long with current organization
2. Whats's your designation?
3. What is your salary in INR per annum?
4. What will you be doing in the US?
I understand the following are key to the decision being made by the interviewer.
1. For L1, the expectation is to have a specialization and the understanding is that this is mostly impossible only if you have stayed long enough with the company filing the petition (> 5 years).
2. The interviewer sees the confidence with which you are answering his/her queries.
3. Be calm and composed.

Thanks to immhelp got a feel of the interview made me prepare well for the interview.
Guys please do prepare well if you are applying for L1 blanket visa. There are huge number of rejections.. rough estimate is more than 50% rejections...
so better be prepared than be sorry.
Questions asked for me:
1. What is your current position?
2. How long you have been working with this company?
3. Why are you going to the US?
4. Why you and not somebody else?
Questions 3 and 4 are the most important questions. You need to be really well prepared (if you are one like me with limited communication skills in english)
VO was listening very attentively and was staring at me all the time. Its very important that you answer while making eye contact else it may appear to be mugged-up and fake.
To my wife:

My interview was scheduled at 9AM. Reached the consulate by 8.30. After the formalities were completed, below are the questions asked.
