I got my L1B Blanket approved at Hyd consulate today in no time.
The initial processing at the BEP counter took more than an hour as there was a very long queue.
Once that was done, I was asked to go to the cashier to submit my DD followed by finger printing and then the interview.
The questions asked are as follows -
1. Where do you work?
2. What's your current role like? <Explained in very simple language - no technical terms used>
3. What specialization do you have?
4. What's your current salary?
5. What's your US salary going to be?
Voila, your visa is approved and you will get it in 5 working days.
The guy before me got his L1 B Blanket rejected as the visa officer was not convinced about his skill set.
The key learning from the entire experience is - be confident, know what you are speaking, speak slowly. Technical or not, it does not matter.

L1-B VISA at Kolkata Approved
Thanks for all the experiences that are being put forward in this website. I applied for an L1-B visa and attended interview on 9th Sept at kolkata consulate. Having gone thru this website and knowing lot of experiences from lot of people, I have an understnading what to do and what not at the consulate, so I was pretty confident though there is always a tension at some corner. After the intital document submission and initial greetings from the VO, the below are the questions I faced on the counter
1. How long have you been working in your current organization **** **
Ans -----
2. What is your total years of exp in IT and where have you worked prior to ****
ANS **** ***
3. Who si your client?
Ans **** ****
4. Sir, I very well understand that you are excellent person and an expert in your are of expertise **** ***, but this is not a rear skill, so do you have anything to prove you are specialized and I can give you a visa to United States
Ans: I gave him some specifications which my skills specialized and my work in the project etc etc...
Then the VO said, thank you sir, your visa is approved.

I got my visa clear today@ New delhi consulate today though Vo officer was quite tough and was not easy to convenience.

How many years of total experience

Who is ur client
How many days it will take 2 train some one for ur skill
It will take around 10 to 12 months with strong YYYY domain knowledge along with YYYY X , YYYY skills.

L1 B Approved in chennai
Hi All ,
Got my L1 B approved today in Chennai.
Here i am sharing the experience :
Initially it was not my day when i went to submit the documents , was send out to bring a document.
And then came the waiting game , As you had not got the correct document first time , your processing time will be increased.
Then i meet the VO , she was frustarted already as her Comp was not correctly working, she asked me to come to next Counter which was in end of the row. Then she casually started to ask the questions, I was confident in my answer, but she was asking the same questions, Why you, Why not other, What technology, where are you going to stay in US. The here also was a turn, she did not have some thing, I got tensed was she searching for the pink slip, then she came with a Approved seal and the golden word, I am approving you visa today, Please give a copy of the I797 to your HR and you retain one with you.

L1-B Specialized skill vs L1-B individual?
Hello Everyone,
my L1-B specialized skill set got rejected with a reason saying " not clearly approvable under US.....".
The consulate asked me to file for visa under Individual category. Now my company is planning to file my L1- visa under L1-B Individual category.
I want to know the experiences of the other folks, who had faced this kind of situation. Please share your experience.
Also anyone please let me know the questions expected when you go for a L1-Individual category.
please help me out guys, I don't want to screw up the visa interview again.
