Answer the question simple(Not in single Word) and clear as mentioned in the petition.
Because you may answer in correct perspective,butthe VO may understand differently.
There is no need to get panic,just talk Cooly.
If you din't understand Question,you can ask them to repeat the question.

L2 visa approved @ hyderabad consolate

interview was at 8.15.. nad they left us inside the consolate building at 8. there was a huge queue to collect ur documents back. then documents was collected and went thru security check. then have to go to counter 8 or finger prints counter. then there is a waiting hall where the token will be issued. please keep checking the counter display board. my token no was called in 2mins itself. der u have 3 counters where interview will be conducted. i had got counter 13. dont see or worry about anyone's visa rejection. as soon as i reached my counter
VO: good morning madam, how r u?
me: wish wholeheartedly good morning and asked how r u?
VO: fine and thank u.
VO: have u come for L2 visa?
me: s
VO: where does ur husband stay?
me: xxx city, yyy state
VO: show me ur husband's visa copy
me: showed.
VO: how long u have been married?
me: 2 years...( he smiled)
VO: what is ur qualification?
me: xxxx
VO: do u work?
me: no. housewife
VO: do you have any children?
me: no
typed sumthing on the computer.... finally he told YOUR VISA IS APPROVED AND U WIL GET UR PASSPORT IN 4 DAYS..
I was very happy. he smiled nad said thank u. i thanked him too...
tips:
1. wish whole heartedly.
2. be confident and smiling.
3. take all the documents as on checklist.
4. dont get tensed by seeing rejection happening in front.

My interview was at 8.45am, there was too much rush on BEP counter, after long wait, i got my documents back which were submitted before,i was not that much comfortable to give interview in english language. there was one lady who was guiding us , i told her that i want translator in hindi, she immediately told to VO. but he told me i dnt think u need translator. then i explanin him
he said your english is very good , then i said ok i will give interview in english,
1.your husband is working with xxx co ?
ans:- yes
then he asked me folder, he said ur getting me.
2.what is your marriage date?
ans:- xxxxx
3.where did u got married?
ans:- xxxxx place.
4.how many people attended ur marriage?
ans:- xxxx.
5.where ur husband staying in usa ?
ans:- xxxx city.
when i was telling address he gave me good smile.
6.for how long ur going to stay in usa ?
an:- i said 2 yrs .
again he question fully sais 2 yrs.
i sais ya bt it depends upon my husband stay in usa.
again he said that obvious.
and he was doing something on computer
then by writing big A on my documents. said ur visa is approved . u will gate it in 7 days.n said , you are very good in english.
n i said thnk you for ur co-operation.
that vo was very cool many n was very co-operative.

L1 B rejected
Cant say what went wrong. The VO asked me standard questions what is your work here and what you specialize in. I was pretty nervous the first few seconds and then catched up.
Told him about the tool which was developed and how i plan to implement that, he was not impressed at all.
Said i lack specialized knowledge. It was more or less similiar for everyone with L1 B.

My suggestion is give your best shot and if its your day you will go through.

L1B Approved @ CHENNAI
First i am thankful to immihelp which helped me a lot for preparing the interview.
I guess visa approval is pre-decided. For me she asked similer kind of question which was posted in this website.
Me, My wife and kid attended the interview. My kid troubled us a lot during the interview, we were unable to concentrate on the interview.
But i answered most of the similer question which is posted in the website. VO verified all my papers and she took 15 min to verifiy all the documents.
Also she went somewhere else along with my papers and come back after 10 min. Finally she said our visa approved and i will get my passport in one week.
All I can say, its all pre-decided, interview is just formality.
I guess visa approval is pre-decided. For me she asked similer kind of question which was posted in this website.

L1A & L2 Approved @ Chennai

It was a cakewalk indeed. Key was to maintain the eye 2 eye contact. Infact I observed that the Visa officer was doing her work on the PC but while I was speaking, all of a sudden was looking at me, ensuring my eyes are not flickering. So confidence and eye contact is the key. Talk as less as possible and accurate, with the responses to be to the point.
The queries were repetitive in nature to ensure that I was talking consistently. Infact I was not great in the first instance but later I rectified it. Officer asked me for the I129 petition documents, where I guess officer verified my remuneration.
Moreover, the officer queried my wife about how long you have been married, how did you meet your spouse, arranged or love marriage? Checked the marriage certificate and the birth certificate of my kids.
Finally the officer said - You pack your bags, I am sending you to the US. :)
In short it was a simple interview than anticipated and all the butterfly in the tummy flew away when I was at the counter.

L1-B Blanket Visa Rejection
Hi,
I had been to US Embassy today for L1-B Blanket visa and while answering counsellor questions, he said my work profile doesn't match L1-B Blanket visa guidelines and suggested me to apply for H1B Visa instead.
Can anyone suggest me ?

Hi All,
I was at the HYD consulate with my wife and kids today. I was sent to window 11 for the interview. The interview was a cake walk.
You need to be confident. Need to have right category of visa else they reject rightaway.
Questions were :
What specialization ?
How many ppl in company has this knowledge?
How many clients use your application ?
How long you married ?

My PA was Aug 16th at Kolkata at 8:00 AM.
My interview was for about 5 minutes..
Conversation went something like this ..
Me :Gud mrng mam
Officer:Gud mrng..
She asked me to place my folders on the table in front of me and guided me for finger prints.
Rest of the questions that followed :
Officer:So where do you work and as what
Me :I am a project manager at XYZ organisation and currently being identified to manage such and such project for YXZ client
Officer :How many resources you handle here at offshore
Me :Around 3 project leaders report to me and there are 5-6 resources who report to them..
I felt she was confirming my answers with all the data i had provided in the documents..
Officer:So how many ppl will report to you at onsite
Me:As of now there are 5 identified resources
Officer: Have you ever been to US earlier
Me :Yes,i was there for 6 months for a project
Officer :Which Visa u had?and on which role?
Me : L1 B,i went there as an Programmer Analyst
Officer: Is this the same client you are expected to work again at US?
Me :No..
Officer :Name of the previous client
Me :YZX
Officer :how long have u been in this role
Me : Almost 2 yrs..
