L1 & L2 extension approved - Mumbai
First of all I would like to thank all the Immihelp users who have shared their experiences. I read these posts a lot before the interview and hence I thought it was my duty to share my experience also. I gave my interview at Mumbai consulate. My interview was on 18th Feb. I took the VFS services and it helped a lot. Since I was told before what items I am suppose to not carry like any bag that has got zip in it, no cloth bags, medicines, mobile, keys etc.

I arrived at the consulate at 08:15 am. I was asked following questions:

1) Which tool are you specialized in?
2) How many people in your company know this tool?
3) How many people in your project know this tool?
4) Have you done any formal training?
50 How long you have been married?

Questions to my wife for L2(She already was having L1):

1) Why do you want to go on L2 when you already have an L1?
2) In which state were you earlier?
3) Show me NOC from your company?

I have attended US visa interviews earlier also and can tell for sure that now a days go with complete preparation. All the very best.

L1A BLANKET AND L2 APPROVED
I personally would like to Thank Immihelp for their feedback and preparation of L1 Visa interview. I had my Visa interview on 03/03. The interview time was 8:30 am. I, my wife and our 2 kids reached the Embassy at 8 am. The security guard asked us to wait for 15 mins outside the Embassy. After the security checks and fingerprint scanning, we got our turn for the interview. We didn't have to wait anywhere, as we had 2 junior kids with us and we were offered prioity queue everywhere. I was standing in the Queue with my family and noticed that the same VO had rejected 2 of the applicants before me. I was very much sure, that whatever would happen, would be good for me and my family. My mom always taught me that - Samay se pehle aur bhagya se zyaada kisiko kuchh nahin milta. SO ALWAYS THINK POSITIVE AND HAVE FAITH IN GOD.

Here are the questions, the VO had asked me:

What do you do, Sir.
Where are you going in US.
What was the purpose of your last 3 visits to US.
Which company do you work for.

I had asked the name of the VO and the location, he is from in US. For which, his answer was CA.

That's it. He didn't even look at my invitation letter from the employer, any financial/ education/ experience documents. (But I had brought all original documents with me though)

He didn't ask any question to my wife.

I agree with all the people who have suggested the Confidence of the Applicant.

My suggestions are:
Dress Formal.
Maintain Eye contactness.
Confidence.
Body Language.
Don't show over aggression to go to US.

Good luck to all future aplicants. Thanks.

L1b Specialized Knowledge -221g
Hi All,
First let me thank all the people for their contribution to this forum. It is really helpful to prepare for the Visa interview
Now for my experience.
I had a Visa interview today for L1-Blanket. The VO asked me only 3 questions:
1)Who is your client
2)What are your specialized skills
3)Does anyone from your company have this skill set and why are you selected for this role?

I gave all the answers correctly and to her satisfaction. Then she started typing something on her computer and told me that your Visa is approved but i cannot stamp it on your Passport.
She handed over a yellow 221g form asking me to submit a new passport to VFS office & no need for me to attend the interview again.
Just confused why she did this as my old passport was still valid over 3.5 years. It had lot of stmaping on it ( all expired visa) as i had visited over 5 countries so far but there were many balnk pages as well.
Just hoping everything is fine
