Here is my visa interview conversation.
Me: Good Morning Maam
VO: Good Morning , How many yrs with this company?
Me. 3 yrs 9 months
VO: Who is ur client?
Me: **** *
VO: What work you are going to do in US?
Me: Co-ordinate with my offshore team
VO: Why do u need specialized knowledge for co-ordinataion?
(I realized it was a wrong answer)
Me: Its not only co-ordination. i will be working on YYYY component of YYYY application. Since, the e-mail serevr for the component is at client location, i need to go there to work on that. So, its 50% co-ordination and 50% development.
(VO was a bit dissatisfied as i did not mention development first)
VO: From how many years u r working for this client?
Me: 3 yrs 9 months
VO: (Satisfied) Ur visa is approved. U will get it in 5 days.
Me: Thank you maam. Have a good day.
Some tips:
1) Ppl whose blanket visas are getting rejected, try for Individual visa. Since, petition is pre-approved in this type of visa, approval rates are high.
2) Do not mention about co-ordination, requirements and all that. Better talk about development.
3) Take a photograph which is less than 6 months old. i was asked to take a new one since my photo was older than 6 months.

Hi All. first of all i would like to thank immihelp and for he ppl who shared their experiences previously i was visiting this site daily for one week before my interview to know the questions and exp of the ppl. it got helped me a lot and gave the confidence and prepare the answers for those questions.
Now its my turn to share my experiences for the ppl who are going next.My interview was on 27 may 10.15 AM as hennai is hot and so much traffic i started early morning hours from my home and i reached the consulate by 9 AM by the time i reach there is an already a big queue i went and stand in the queue..but the security is allowing only 9.15 slot ppl irespective of whether you are in front or back of the queue.so be seeing this i came out and had brk fast and joined in the queue exactly at 10 AM since my interview is at 10.15 security allowed be directly. here i would like to inform there is no need to stand in the queue for a long time in hot sun light just you can go 15 min before and tell the security your interview slot time even you reach there early.
As i enter inside a volunteer asked me to stand in a queue where they are arranging the docs and taking finger prints. after arranging the docs she asked me to go to next building for the interview and told me all the best. i went to the next building and sit inside. there also depending the interview slot time the volunteers are calling and asking to stand in the queue for the interview. my turn came around 12.15 PM and i joined the queue for interview..there were 3 counters for english interview and other 4 counters for other local languages as the line
moves we need to go to the counter which ever id getting free.. my turn came and the VO was a lady ..and the coversation follows below.
me : Good Morning ..! Mam.

me : i am doing good.
VO : keep your rt hand mid finger?
me : i just did what she said.

me : YYYY

after that she told you r visa got approved you will get your pass port within a week time..what i expected.

Hello,
First of all i would like to thanks all users who have already shared their experiences. It helped me a lot for my own preperation. My approinment was at 12 noon and i entered into the queue outside Consulate at 11.15 am and I entered in by 12.05 pm.
Then we were asked to stand in the queue for intitial screening. I was very confident till this time as I am going for a specialist role and so my case is genuine. When my turn came the lady at counter asked about my photograph and said is it ths same that I used last time for my Business Visa. I said yes. And then she said do you have any other photograph. I replied yes I have..but it same..
Then she tokk out a white form and this was the momemnt I thought I am gone... as normally they take out white forms to write rejection reasons...
She ticket photograph in that sheet and with my documents and passport she gave me that white sheet and said get a new photograph and come again. I was stll unsure what that means... Then a girl was standing behind me she said don't worry go to next building with in consulate itself and there you can get a new photograph. I myself got a new one.
I went there...got a new photo clicked and came back to same window. This time she took all my documents and written some code on top of document and gave me back... it was around 12.45 pm now (in between i wasted 15 mins 'cause of photograph).
Now, I entered into final queue of Visa interview. And my turn came at 2.30 pm. But for all this 1 hr 45 mins I was thinking about thet code the lady has written on my documents and thinking does it mean anything or is it just the serial number. So, just want to give an advice to all others to take a recent photograph always and do be careless as i was. And that increase my tension and made me nervous.
In Visa interview queue they were giving prefrence to senior citizens, then to one with families, followed by those who has language problem i.e. who needs translater, etc. and then the normal queue and since mine was in afternoon so they were going for lunch on rotation. So, all windows were not open. It was only at 2.05 pm that all windows were open. Below are the questions what they asked me:
1. What you do in <my company>?
me: I explained in two lines. He just picked one work in that and said -'ok , this'. I said yes.
2. I could see you are working here for couple of years where you worked earlier.
Me: i replied , <abc company>
3. Who is the client?
Me: yyy
4. How many of you are travelling? (he asked casually)
Me: Just me.
5. Only you
Ans: Yes
Thats all what he asked. I think main question he asked me is 4 and since i replied with in a sec and with no hesitation he considered me.
Then he stamped one doc, this is for you. he stamped other and said this is also for you..one more and this one too.. the comes the golden words.... you will get your Visa with in a week's time..

Chennai Consulate - L1B on HOLD now got approved
I had my Visa Interview on 5th of may. Prepared a lot for the interview. But frankly speaking bit nervous before faced the interview.
Interview was around 5mins;
questions:
How much experience do you have?
Ans: 2.5 years
How much salary you are getting in INDIA?
Ans: --- Rupees
Who is your clients?
Ans: i told all the clients name.
Why you are going to US?
Ans: i told, about my work and what is my need in us.
Again he asked, how much experience do hae in current project?
Ans: 2.5 years
Tell me something abt your project?
Ans: told 2,3 lines
In between, he was typing something data in his pc. and he has given me a PINK FORM.
Told your visa application need some administrative processing, please go to counter number 'C' and fill the form and submit your documents their. thanks.
then i went to that counter and submited all the documents; there they told me, your visa is approved, it needs some further administartive processing, you will get your passport with in 3,4 weeks.
Today after 3 weeks, i got my passport, with Visa stamping.
One thing i observed is, the interview is based on pure luck, also CONFIDENCE matters a lot.
before to me, some of my friends got rejected just 2 days before from my company, so i was scared.
Anyways i got my visa now. Cool...
ALL THE BEST for all those are going to face the interview.

I didn't say anything about the technology or the VO didn't ask anything about it.
My advise is don't talk about the technolgy be strong with the client domain and their product.
Please go exactly 15min before the interview because it is too hot in chennai and you need to stand outside unneccessarly because of which you will become very tired.
