Current status - Under process
We have booked our tickets to India for May 20 and based on the timelines here, it does look like we should hopefully get the OCI within that timeline.
We are in a dilemma whether to postpone our trip or wait until next week to see if this would be able to get it by then. Any suggestions ?

Minor, NEW OCI - VFS SF Experience
Feb 16 - Sent package through FedEx
Feb 17 - FedEx delivered to VFS
Feb 18 - VFS acknowledged the receipt of package
Mar 2 - Received the original passport
Mar 7(Sunday) - Your Application has been ‘Processed’ at the VFS India Consular application Centre and currently is ‘In-Transit‘ to the Embassy.
Mar 9 : Embassy Acknowledged

OCI Minor Application - SFO
I did the online registration and sent the application to Consulate of India, SFO (those were online instructions). But I havent heard anything yet, its been more than a week they received he application packet as per FEDEX tracking. Can anyone here suggest what should I do?

New OCI for minor Photo Question
When the application form is printed from the OCI Application site, it prints with the digital copy we uploaded already(we took a color print). Do we need to fix the Physical Photo on top of it?

3/1 - Fedex Delivered to VFS Houston
3/8 - We have ‘Received’ your Application and your application is now ‘Under Process’ at Houston.

48-72 business hours. You are requested to track the status of your application after 2-3 business days. Average processing time is 4-6 weeks except for
Tatkal cases.
3/9 - Fedex label created to return document
3/10 - Fedex delivered and its Passport of child & 2 physical photos (they kept none except that attached to govt from )
3/10 - VFS status still shows "Your application is being verified and currently under process at the VFS Indian Consular Application Centre"
3/15 - Application reached Consulate and its "Under Process"
4/20 - Received email that Card reached VFS
4/22 - OCI Card Delivered to me
Based on what i noticed it take 4-5 weeks after application reached consulate.
3/1 - Fedex Delivered to VFS Houston

Oci renewal
Hi Friends,I recently came across article which says existing oci card holders minors don’t need to renew their oci card. Is it true? Below is text from news. Kindly suggest.
“ A person who has got registration as OCI cardholder prior to attaining the age of 20 years will have to get the OCI card re-issued only once when a new passport is issued after his or her completing 20 years of age, so as to capture his or her facial features on attaining adulthood.
If a person has obtained registration as OCI cardholder after attaining the age of 20 years, there will be no requirement of re-issue of OCI card.”
