14 months
Hi everyone,
I have been posting earlier, I applied May 2017 and did my biometrics the end of June 2017. I have been waiting for 14 months and I finally received an email yesterday that my case is now in line for an interview, I’m hoping interview scheduling won’t take long now. Be patient everyone and good luck

Atlanta N400
I wanted to share my timeline for people in the hopes that it will help someone currently going through the process. I know I took a lot of comfort in the experiences shared here.

Field Office: Atlanta

PD: 9/21/17
FP: 10/19/17
In line for Interview: 10/23/17
Interview Scheduled: 6/28/18
Interview: 8/7/18
Oath Scheduled: 8/21/18
Oath Ceremony: 9/14/18

When I submitted my application, the estimated processing time for Atlanta was 9-14.5 months. Mine took almost exactly 12 months, so I found the estimated times to be pretty reliable.

Good luck!!

Dallas - N400 Denied
Hello.

Has anybody heard about somebody's N400 was denied during/after the interview and got deported soon afterward? Please explain the reason of the rejection.

I'm still waiting for my interview. I'm just curious if the above has ever happened.

Thank you.

N400 Newark, NJ - Became Citizen
Hello,

Wanted to share my 11 month experience on becoming a U.S. citizen.

I submitted my N400 application on 9/24/2017 and completed my biometrics in October 2017.
Since then, I've had a 7 month waiting process to receiving my interview date.
Received my interview letter around the end of May for 7/31/2017. A week later I received a letter via mail stating that the interview date was descheduled by USCIS and that they would send me another date.
Another week later, I received another interview date for 8/22/2017.
Last week, I completed my interview and completed the same day oath and became a U.S. citizen!

It seemed like a long wait but I am so glad the process is complete!
Good luck to everyone waiting!

Dallas Field Office
So just checking if all DFO filers are getting this.

I saw my sister case and she recently got her interview letter in the mail 8/20/18 and the case status said we sent you an interview letter on 8/15/18.

Here timeline.

5/31/17- "we received your N-400"
6/7/17 - "we schedule for your fingerprint"
10/02/17 we are scheduling your interview

Is everyone who created an USCIS account getting these pertain dates???

I tired checking my wife and all she has is we received your case 9/7/17 and the case status says inline for the interview 10/16/17, my wife probably has another 5 more months until she gets her interview letter. I wonder if someone forgot to update it or they never received the finger print record from the support service center (just worried). it just seems like they're no consistent and is like a crab shoot.

happy for my little sister her journey is almost done to become a citizen.

Naturalization process
Hi guys , so I’ve been owning a green card for almost an year now trough marriage and I am looking forward to the naturalization process .
The 3 years term will be on October 18 th 2020 . Am I allowed to apply for naturalization before that due to long processing times ? Would be ok if I start the process in January 2020?
