Immigrant Visa

Hi

I have changed my first and last name in my Indian passport and also update new name on H1B I797.

When I reached out to SSN office they are asking for a court order or something to prove the name change happened.

So I reached out to Court for court order but they are asking for Birth certificate, When I told them I am non- Immigrant here a and I have birth certificate from India...

I not sure how to get a court order now...to update my SSN with new name...

Please let me know if I have to reach out to Any attorney?

Hi - I want to apply for GC for my parents who are currently in US. On the Gov website for one of my parents the i94 shows the recent entry into US, for the other parent it does not. Has anyone faced this situation, what i94 number can be used in the forms 130/485 for the parent where the number is not updated. Can we use the old one, or leave it blank. The passport is stamped correctly but i94 number not updated on website

I needed an emergency visa appointment to be able to visit family due to a medical emergency in my home country.
My Current h1b visa expired a year ago so I filed a new ds-160 and while scheduling my appointment it told me that I qualified for dropbox as I already have a visa. When I called the embassy they told me there is no emergency appointment for dropbox.
So I reapplied for normal office appointment. This time they gave me an emergency appointment.
Currently the issue I have is :
In person vac + interview instead of dropbox (which can be explained and I think is ok)
Funeral is for a non-immediate relative in home country
Emergency is not in the US but in the home country
I am not sure if the immigration officer asks for why the emergency appointment was granted as it has already been approved by the consulate.
Is there still risk for me to go coz if they deny the visa I would be stuck in home country?
