My friend in Mexico was denied B2 Visa
This is one of the most frustrating situations I have ever encountered. I invited friends of mine and their daughter to the US as a gift for the daughter's Quinceanos. I was going to take them to Disney World in Orlando. They had their Visa appointment this morning and were turned down. They were told that school was more inportant than a vacation for their daughter. I am very upset and embarrassed. I also paid for the Visa appointment and that money is lost at this point. What options do I have? Is the Visa process this flawed that a Mexican family is prohibited to take a vacation in the US?

Vistor visa
My parents had their visa appointment yesterday at 8 30 in the morning. They had chosen Kannada as the medium.
My husband was the sponsorer and we had sent all the documents according to what was mentioned here on immihelp.
My parents were asked the following questions

1. What is your daughter's name ?
2. What is your son in law's name ?
3. Where does your son in law work ?
4. (To my father) What do you do ? ans retired
5. (To my father) Where were you working ?
6 . The above two questions were asked for my mother as well.
7. How many children do you have ?
8. Do you have any property ?
9. What is your monthly income ?

The officer then said they had got the visa and that they would recieve their passports within a week. Though they were prepared with all the documents, they were not asked to show them.

Tips for future visa interviewees :
Like loads of people here have said, it is important to know what is written in your DS-156/157 forms, say your answers clearly and confidently, keep all the supporting documents ready and most importantly say the truth as the visa officers may cross question. Best of luck !!

In-laws recieved 10 year visa at Chennai
Thanks for the wealth of information available here at Immihelp. We sent all documents stated by Immihelp and in-laws prepared the documents on their part. They had an appointment in Kannada even though my father in law is quite comfortable with English.

My wife is their only child. My father in law is 60 and mother in law is 50.
Questions:
How many children do you have?
What does your son in law do?
Where does he work?
What are you doing?
