My visiting visa experince
I was bit scared of visa rejection so I had done a bit of research on the matter. I came to know I had good chances of rejection so started to look for some agencies which have expertise in the matter. I luckily found visaViking of Hyderabad. They were really helpful in guiding me to through the application part. Latter I was again guided for the interview part also where my wife and me were trained for. Luckily on the day of the interview it wasn't that bad. We were pretty much ready with our document s and all and we were faced with the interview.

VO: Purpose of visit.

Me: Visiting my relative

VO: what do you do?How much do you earn.

Me: my occupation.

VO: to my wife what do you do and how much you earn

Wife: her occupation.

VO:Duration of trip

Me: 10 days this time. Will visit again for a marriage.

VO then informally talks to my small kid. My wife also starts a small talk with her about the baby.

VO then says your visa is approved and keeps my passport. The thing I understood is that their are some info which can work against you so it's better to be confident and get some counselling from a experienced agent. I think then your chances will be much better. I would really recommend visa Viking of Hyderabad because we were well prepared thanks to them. We knew what we had to tell, not any lie just the truth by in a proper manner.

Hope this helps some of you guys.

B2 Visa Rejected - Mumbai Consulate
Hi everyone,

This message board has been of immense help to me leading up to the interview so I'd like to share my experience so people can analyse my interview and help others succeed where I have not.

Profile:
24 y. o. Male
7.2 lakh p. a. annual compensation
3 years as a Risk Analyst at a top Investment Bank
Visitng relatives for 2 weeks
I'm not a Shah or a Patel

Interview:
VO was a middle-aged white man with a friendly appearance.

VO: Good morning, please passport.
Me: Good morning! (passes the passport)

VO: Why do you want to go the USA?
Me: To visit friends and family.

VO: So I see you're going to visit your brother?
Me: No, he's actually my Uncle, there's no "Uncle" option in the DS-160 dropdown so I selected the most relevant.

VO: Ah. What does your Uncle do?
Me: He's a VP in a leading Cloud-Computing start-up called High Radius

VO: And what do you do sir?
Me: I'm a risk analyst in a top investment bank, ZZZ.
VO: Excuse me, what was that?
Me: YYYY
(It's a very famous bank but he hadn't heard of it.)

VO: Okay, and how long have you been working at ZZZ?
Me: Almost 3 years.

VO: Have you travelled overseas before?
Me: Yes. Singapore.

VO: And for how long do you intend to travel to the USA?
Me: 2 weeks.

I thought the interview had gone pretty well up until this point and was almost positive I was getting a visa. He types for a while, turns to me and says -

VO: Sorry sir, under strict immigration laws I cannot give you a visa at this time. This paper will explain why. *hands me back my passport and 214(b)*

I had the following things to prove ties to country but wasn't asked about them so I didn't bring them up as I've seen many people advice against deviating from the VO's question:
1) Over 13 lakh INR in assets
2) Upcoming promotion
3) Quarterly review at my job due to which I couldn't extend my stay even if I tried
4) Entire family residing in India

I was not nervous or hesitant. I have a great command over the language, experience with public speaking and I was a picture of calmn and serentiy. I had an agent fill out my DS-160 which I realise after reading this forum was a mistake. He selected a few things incorrectly and I would have filled it out differently.

I do not know why my visa was denied. Views are appreciated so others can benefit. I'm planning on giving my GMAT and applying for Business School, so I'll be applying for an F-1 visa next year.

Thank you for taking the time out and reading this.

B2 visa for parents rejected-Chennai consulate
Hi Everyone,

Requesting some advice on B2 visa rejection for my parents. I live in US on H1 along with my wife and kid. I had applied B2 for my parents and it got rejected last week at Chennai consulate. My father works in a private textile company and my mother is a house wife. Below are the questions that were asked in the interview.

1. Why do you want to visit US?
Ans: For tourism and to visit my son and his family.

2. What is your son doing?
Ans: My role and organization.

3. Where is your son living in US?
Ans: City and state.

4. For how long you want to visit?
Ans: 3 months.

5. Is your son married?
Ans: Yes.

6. Does he have a kid?
Ans: Yes.

7. What is the age of the kid?
Ans: 2 years.

8. For how long your son is living in US?
Ans: One and a half years.

9. What do you do?(to my Father)
Ans: Fabric coordinator in a textile company.

Then the officer issued a 214b saying the Visa has been rejected and details are in the sheet. Did not ask for any document from my parents.
I am clueless about the reason for denial here. Have they rejected it purely based on something in the DS-160. For the question, Have you made specific travel plans, I had mentioned as No and intended period of stay as 3 months. Is this an issue mentioning specific travel plans as No. I couldn’t find anything else wrong in DS-160. Can someone please help me if you find something wrong or a reason that could have caused the rejection. Also if I wish to re-apply, is 45 days gap sufficient or should I have to wait longer. Please advice.

Thanks in advance.

we: good morning Madam
VO: Good morning, why do you want to go USA?
we: we want to see our son graduating there?
VO: did you ever visited anywhere outside India?
We: answered
VO: How many days would you planned to stay in USA?
We: Answered
VO: What do you do, Now ?
We: both of us answered
VO: what is your date of birth?
We: replied
VO: Wish you best of luck, your visa approved.
During the entire period of question and answer everytime our answer was tallied with the computer ahead of VO. We replied firmly, looking straight to the VO and as per the declarations in DS 160. Thats the key of success of getting of B2 visa. Another important point is the entire tour was planned with the specific dates. I wish all of the probable applicants all the best - Sarkar

applied B2 visa
Hi All,

I am single female, 29 years old, have 7 years of work experience working with a good firm as a senior Analyst. I would want to visit US-NJ to visit my friends for vacation. I have applied for B2 visa, self sponsering, decent bank balance, earning 7lakhs/annum. Living with my parents.

what other strong tie ups can i show apart from below;
current & previous employment docs, parents identity proof, education docs, property docs (in my father's name), my friend's visa status, employment details, address proof (where I would be staying)

I haven't booked my tickets & haven't planned my travel dates. Will that be a problem?

Please advise
