B1/B2 Experience - Parents - Karachi
First of all many thanks to 'immihelp' members, its been a great source of help preparing for interview.
My parents have had their interview at Karachi Consulate yesterday 8th Feb. VO only asked following questions to my dad & didn't utter a word to my mom. (VO spoke with them in Urdu language through out)

VO: Who's this lady with you?
Ans: My wife

VO: Passports please!
Ans: Provided

VO: I see you have put the address of Baluchistan, where do you actually live? (That was perhaps to trick my dad to see if he fumbles)
Ans: Baluchistan address is my work place address, I live in xyz area in Karachi.

VO: Why do you want to go to USA?
Ans: To meet my relatives and tourism purpose. (Here my dad added further which kinda endorsed his case) We are already going to Canada to visit our son & this will be a good opportunity for us to visit our relatives in USA as travelling to US is easier from Canada.

VO: Do you have visa for Canada?
Ans: Yes. (VO checked the passport for visa page)

VO: What does your son do in Canada?
Ans: He works as xyz in abc company

VO: How many children you have?
Ans: x children in Khi,Pak and x in Canada.

VO: What profession you are/were into?
Ans: I have worked as XYZ in different positions in cement industry. My recent contract was with ABC company which got over last month. Right now I'm not employed anywhere.

VO: Are you looking to work since your last contract is over?
Ans: No, I'hv taken a break this year as I am going to visit my son this summers so I'd give time to family before I start working again.

VO: Okay, your visa is approved (Thank God for these golden words) you may receive your passports in a couple days.

The key is to remain truthful, confident and keep it simple.

Please advice needed on B1/B2 visa
My good people here, I stumble on this useful site. A closed friend need urgent advise. He did is masters online in California and graduated last year August, the school has invited him and his family for graduation ceremony this May. He recall Sometimes in 2003 his late uncle brought a lady from u.s and they did court registry. Along the line the visa wasn’t issued and no biometric then. He has actually forget that incident existed and couldn’t even remember what really transpired then. He has travelled to 7 schegen countries, and others. All he could recall was, the passport name then was okaka Alexander. But he has since been using another biometric passport which is okaka Alex Omo and the date of birth change too frm 04/06/1979 then to his real age 04/06/1974 . He didn't even know why they has to reduce his age then. But now He has already filled his form that he has never apply before and he has no body in u.s. nothing he can really recall in that 15years ago incident. He is doing well in now. Please advised

Your Visa is approved.

Frankly, I had not even checked this site for experiences. I feel this would have made us more nervous than helping us out.

Tips
1. DS160: Answer all questions truthfully
2. Interview: Answer all questions to best of your ability
3. Our was case of single child in USA, govt/retired parents. There is no need to be tensed. The whole process lasted less than 10 seconds. We were given translator for the interview.

B2 VISA FOR MY PARENTS
They went to OFC office on Sunday(2/4/18) and gave fingerprints.
On the second day, they went in at 830 and waited in the Que.
VO: What is the purpose of the visit?
P: My daughter in law is pregnant , to see the baby
VO: How many children you have?
P: One son and daughter.
VO: Your daughter have any children?

B2 Visa - Approved(1st attempt)
I would like to share my experience. First of all I thank immhelp, its really a good site where you can go through the experience's of the other people.

Some tips:
Be confident, Be honest, Be on time. Don't hide any thing. It's also important that you must fill DS-160 by yourself so you don't have to remember anything. Even though you have done some mistakes in form which you notice later, don't get panic you can submit new application again. Just replace the old application with new application in your profile. Also when you submit form don't forget to click on Print application button, because this will help you to get your personal copy which you can keep it with you for your reference(may be you can find some mistakes in your application). be prepared.

My profile: Female, Single, 29 years old. Good travel history(7 countries), Good Salary.

My interview Experience:
Interview schedule was 9:00 AM, I reached by 8:50 then they announce 9:00 am slot please come forward and stand in queue. Then security check and the bio metrics for confirmation. Then they ask you to stand in queue and they tell you the window number.

Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning, passport please.

VO: Have you traveled out of India before?

ME: No, I have been to Germany thrice ,rest is for 1 time.

VO: What is the purpose of visit?

VO: Are you looking for a job?
