Kindly guide - B2 visa rejected
Dear all, Apologies in advance for the long post.
I had applied B2 visa for my brother (1 month), mother and sister (6 months). Interview was on 9 Feb 2018 and got rejected so highly disappointed. Kindly guide as I want to reapply just for my mother and sister. We lost our father in Oct 2017 so wanted my family to have a break and change in environment. They have to be back in India by Sep 2018 for my fathers 1st death anniversary rituals in oct 2018. Brief about the interview on 9th Feb below:
question to my brother:
1. What’s your salary? I get xxx per annum ( approx 6 lakhs per annum)
2. Who stays in USA? Sister, brother in law and niece
3. What do sister and brother in law do? Sister homemaker and BIL Business Development representative in xyz company
4. Have you travelled internationally previously? No
5. How long you planning to stay? I plan to stay for 1 month, have to return to work. Mother and sister for 6 months after which they will return for our fathers death anniversary rituals
6. Is your father going to travel with you? No, he passed away
7. ( Pointing to my sister) what do you do? ( my sister is a special child with ecr passport, she is 34 years of age but has the IQ of a 9/10 year old kid. Manages all basic responsibilities. So she’s dependent on us and stays with my brother and mother ) My brother responded saying she’s not that fluent in English so I can answer on her behalf. VO said oh ok. My brother said, she can do all basic responsibilities on her own but on critical decisions dependent on us and we take full responsibility of her.

Then VO took a couple of minutes to document, said you do not qualify for the visa and handed over form 214b. VO had rejected 3 previous applications before us.
They did not ask for any supporting documents. We have our own house in Hyderabad, 2 properties and 1 plot in hometown. Besides that our bank balance and no mortgage. We had mentioned our mother would pay for trip expenses in ds160. She would have paid for international travel and all domestic expenses in USA my husband would bear. I am on H4 and husband on H1B.

I plan to reapply for my mother and sister with the interpreter option in March/ early April 2018 as weather is conducive in summer for my mother. Kindly guide what could be done differently this time.

1. I plan to apply for 5 months May to Sep instead of 6 months like earlier as they have to return before October.
2. Not applying for my brother this time as he won’t travel.
3. I am expecting my second child (first is 2.5 yrs toddler now) in August end so is it ok to mention that they would visit in May / June to tour a few places before my baby shower in July and then be there with me during childbirth. After things settle a bit with support system, will return in September.

Many thanks in advance for all your guidance

Senior citizen visitor visa denied for no reason
Hello forum,
I am an avid reader of the forum and have taken many useful leads from this forum before applying for my US visa. I believe in DIY and hence study the subject and get about it. I am on L1B in the US for 8 months now and before I applied for my visa, I researched and then went for the interview in Chennai.
I want to bring my father aged 72 to the US and take care of him though he is not interested and he does not want to be a burden on anyone. After through research I filled his application and applied July last, I was sure that he would get the visa. He was refused 214b.

Vo what is the purpose of your travel?
Dad to visit my son
Vo what do you do?
Dad business
Vo who is in the US?
Dad my son on L1B non-immigrant visa
Vo how long has your son been in the US?
Dad 8 months
Vo where is your son working?
Dad He works for _______
Vo what is his salary?
Dad 70k per annum
Vo what is your income?
Dad 5 lakhs per annum from business and 4 lakhs from property
Vo how many children do you have and where are they?
Dad 4 sons 2 in different countries, 1 in India and 1 in US.
Vo what is the son in India doing?
Dad project manager for _______, he is married and has a child.
Vo sorry, I cannot issue you a visa.
Dad any reason?
Vo gave a paper, the reason is in here, read it.

I took appointment again on 7th of January. This time he got interested in applying again because he felt he was unduly denied the visa. He took the suggestion of a family friend and sought the help of an immigration consultant by the name of visavikings. He was very satisfied the way they processed his case and an all-round brush-up to address the shortcomings. He did not take my help and went for the interview and got it the second time. He says their overall approach is very different to my mine, anyways, he is happy and so am I. This consultant can be reached on +91-9949938272 if anyone is interested. Good luck everybody!

B2 Visa interview for Graduation Ceremony
I booked appointment for me and mom for B2 visa to attend my elder brother's wedding which is 2 weeks before of his graduation ceremony (my brother changed the University after going to USA)
my mom she can't speak English so interview was on Urdu.

VO: can both of you speak English ?
Me: No, I can but she can't.

VO: Sir please wait for some time ? (he called one lady to speak with my mom)

Interpreter: (to my mom in Urdu) why do you want to go USA ?
Mom: to attend my son's graduation ceremony and his wedding ( she replied to VO after keeping on mute then VO told to aks other question )

Interpreter: who is he with you ? (pointing towards me)
Mom: My son (again she did the same then VO asked other question)

Interpreter: how many kids you have ?
Mom: 4 sons

Interpreter: where are other 2 ?
Mom: 1st is a Software developer 2nd in USA 3rd is with me and 4th is doing MBA.

Interpreter: is your husband alive ?
Mom: Yes

Interpreter: is he out of India ?
Mom:

Interpreter: then where is he and what he is doing ?
Mom: he is not working because he is on bed rest from 2 years ( I was looking at the Interpreter she was not translating properly to VO, she was translating only in 1 word to VO her husband do “Nothing" she didn’t told him that my father is on bed rest from 2 years. as my said

Interpreter: then who runs your home ?
Mom: my 1st son as he is working from 7 years in software filed and my 3rd son who is here, both on them are working.

Interpreter: what your son is doing in USA ?
Mom: Master.

Interpreter: Is he working ?
Mom: No

Interpreter: from how long he is USA ?
Mom: 3 years

Interpreter: Which university ?
Mom : University of Cumberland. ( which is in Kentucky but on visa it's Trine University )

Interpreter: where do he live ?
Mom: Chicago Villa park

Interpreter: do you have his passport and visa copy ?
me: Handed over my brother’s passport and visa copy to VO.

Then VO checked something on system for few second after typing my brother's visa code number which I was looking at him only, after few second suddenly he handed 214B form to my mom.
didn't even asked a single question to me not even looked at me he ended the interview
i told to Interpreter that we have his transcripts and all other documents then she said "Interview khatam ho chuka hai aap log visa ke liye eligible nahi hai SORRY"

can any one let me know what went wrong as I'm working from 2 years in MNC I carried all the documents my offer letter, ID card, Payslips, Bank statement with 7 lacs but VO didn't ask a single question to me.
if I don't get the visa doesn't matter but my mom wants to go bcuz of my brother's wedding
should I send only to mom for interview now or should both of us try or there is no possibility of getting the visa bcuz my brother changed the university and it's been 3 and half years he is in USA and didn't completed his masters.
I think we shouldn't tell that my father is not working
please need your suggestions people ..........!

Need help - b2 rejected under 214b - Indian student
Hello forum members. I am a college senior (final year) and applied for a B2 visa in Kolkata. I want to attend the engagement of a close family friend in the US. The interview went as follows:

VO: Why do you want to go to the US?
Me: The primary purpose is to attend the engagement of a very close family friend and the secondary purpose is some sight seeing around New York.

VO: How old are you?
Me: 22

VO: Whats your profession.
Me: I'm a college senior.

VO: What do you study?
Me: Design

VO: Have you ever traveled to any other country?
Me: Yes, Austria.

VO: Why?
Me: I was the finalist of the UX World Championship.

VO: Of what? (She maybe didn't hear UX and thought that I only said world championship and therefore she asked 'of what')
Me: umm.. of Usability congress summit!? (This is the conference under which that Championship is held)

VO: OF WHAT?
Me: Of UX world championship!!!?

VO: What is UX?
Me: User Experience Design, the thing that I am studying.

VO: How long would (I heard 'did') you stay?
Me: (rechecking) how long did I stay in Austria??

VO: How long would you stay IN THE US?
Me: 2 weeks.

She then refused and gave me my passport and 214b letter, never asking for ANY documents.
She never asked me any question about returning back. I have very strong reasons to come back. I have to take my last semester final exams so that I can graduate. Also, I have a full time job offer already from one of the biggest tech companies in the world (job posting will be in India). But I never got a chance to say all this. No questions about sponsorship also.
Also, my permanent address in the application was of my college. This was a mistake from my side. I want to reapply asap. Do I have another chance? If yes then How do I (and how soon should I - 1 day, 1 week, 2 weeks) reapply again to be successful?

Parents B-2 Visa experience
I am thankful to all posts which helped me a lot. My husband is sponsoring for my parents. He is H-1 B and I am on F-1 visa. I made a couple of mistakes on application so re-submitted application.

Bio metrics day: My father told them that there is a mistake in old application. They told him to provide DS-160 confirmation page for new application. Everything went fine on that day.

Interview day:
VO: Why are you going to US?
Ans: To visit daughter and tourism purposes.

VO: Can you provide your daughter passport copy?
Ans: Yes (given)

VO: What is your daughter doing?
Ans: Studying

VO: Is she working
Ans: Studying

VO: Have a happy journey
