Hello guys. I'm applying for a B2 visa to visit my younger brother in the US. What kind of verification checks does the US consulate make?
My brother is on a F-1 OPT visa. Like will they call him or his current employer and stuff to verify the details I have mentioned on the DS-160 form? Thanks.

B1 Visa Approved in 4th attempt..!!
Hi, friends, I am very happy to share my long visa interview(s) experience..! I got approved my B1 visa in my fourth attempt, all within only three weeks..! Actually my story is in last June-July. Sorry for that I didn’t get time so far to share my experience.
I am a PhD student in a reputed university in Delhi. I got an invitation to participate in a 10 days Global Youth Forum in Boston and New York which was held by the United Nations in July 2017.
I appeared my first interview in New Delhi Embassy on 20th of June. The VO was a gentle man, he asked me a few questions, why I am going, what I am doing, how much is my income, who will fund my trip… etc. I answered accordingly, but unfortunately I was rejected.
As the dates of the program were in the very next month, I applied once again in Delhi Embassy. I got appointment within one week i.e. June 26th. (Normally, the available appointment slots will be after 3-4 weeks. But, at some times, especially at night and early morning we can see very nearest available slots.) This time I was interviewed by another male VO. He asked me same questions. But, unfortunately rejected..!!
I was very disappointed. My trip was a full-funded trip, everything was okay, except the visa. My of friends discouraged me. But, I was confused. If I miss that rare opportunity, I will never get such a chance once again. So, I applied once again.
This time I got appointment on 3rd of July at Chennai Consulate. This time I faced a lady VO. She also asked almost same questions. But rejected once again…!! I was very upset. I lost $480 so far. But, the thoughts of my dream journey urged me to apply once again as a last chance, thinking that if I lose this time also I will waste another $160, but, if I get I will get a free U.S. trip… I applied and got appointment on 7th of July.
This time I faced a gentle man VO. He was very kind enough to read all the documents I handed over, which the previous VOs hadn’t done. He read all the documents and asked many questions. He began to type for five minutes... He took 15 minutes to interview me and finally he gave me back all the docs except my passport and he chanted those magic words: “Your visa is approved…!!”
I couldn’t believe..!! I thanked God…!! I wept to tears with joy…!! I got my passport with visa within two days and I flew to Boston on 16th July. Enjoyed the trip and reached back in India on 27th…!!

Visitor visa experience for my single mother

Hi guys,

I would like to share my experience about visitor B2 visa for my single mother.

My Background: I'm a Canadian and I currently live in USA with my husband on work visa.

My mother was rejected visitor visa twice in a year just cos I'm a Canadian .The interviewer always rejected her visa saying your daughter is a Canadian and your a single mother. We were totally devastated when her visa got rejected twice on the same reason.Going through these forums we found out about the visa vikings consultancy located in Secunderabad who helped a lot with visa refusals. We wanted to give it a try and with our last hopes went to them.I should say, visa vikings has been the best consultancy I have come across for they take their work very seriously and with patience look into details of the refusal and make you attend counselling sessions which makes you confident enough to face the interview. They guided my mother in the right direction and when she went for the interview the third time she got the visa!!!,,So guys I would definitely recommend visa vikings for anyone looking to apply for visa to USA.

Thank you

Lina

Kindly help me me with this question. I have a valid visa to the US and hope to visit in no distant time for the second. However, My wife is currently in the US as a protected person (Asylum applicant) waiting for her interview which may take sometime to be schedule. Since I have a valid visa will I be allowed to visit them in the US? I am currently working in Qatar as an engineer and does not wish to join them until their application is granted. But wish to be visiting them regularly till a decision is taken on their application. My second question is, If my current visa expires what is my chance of getting another since my family is currently in the US as asylum applicant?
You kind advise will be highly appreciated. Thanks

B2 Visa - Hyderabad India
Hi There,

My in laws are planning to attend US B2 visa at Hyderabad in India.
My Father in law works for a Govt Bank in India and has managed to get approval for 1 month of Leave(vacation) to travel to US.
My Mother in law is a Home maker and she is planning attend visa interview too.
Due to some reasons my father in law and mother in law are attending visa interview in two different dates. Example my father in law's interview is today and mother in law is tomorrow.

What could be potential different set of questions visa officer may ask both of them as they are not attending together.

Is there a possibility visa officer ask them why both of them are not attending on the same date? if asked what should be the convincing answer?

Any inputs should be really helpful!
