Aslamualikum to all of you..iam 40 years old Telecom Engineer by profession...i have been on this site since last one week and gone through almost every experienced shared by u all...All the information shared by you is very usefull and finally i have submitted my DS-160 form along with my family...wife and 3 child...we are expecting to get B1/B2 visa from Islamabad Pakistan...most likely we will get a interview date on 7th of Dec,17..i will share my interview\s experience here so others may get benefit from my experience as i did from all of you....thanks remember me in your prayers....

what is the chance for me to get B2 visa??

Hello Friends,

My Tourist visa B2 for USA got rejected on Friday Nov 3rd, 2017. I went at BKC in Mumbai. My appointment was at 9:30.

Age : 27
Status : Single

ME: Good Morning! (with smile)
VO: Good Morning! (with smile) Please give me your passport.

I submitted my passport.

VO: What's purpose of the trip?
ME: Tourism and to meet my fiance

VO: Did you went before to USA?
ME : No

VO: Did your fiance filed a petition for you?
ME: Yes ( My mistake. I should say NO since my fiance did NOT any petition for me. I did not know that petition means dependent visa or green card application)
(I showed him sponcer/invitation letter and by looking at that h wrote something in system)

VO: Where do you stay in India?
ME: Maharshtra

After that he returned my passport along with a page on which rejection reason was 214(b).

After that on Saturday Nov 4th, 2017. I again filled my profile.

New Fee payed : 10,880/- (NEFT- Bank of America - same as earlier)
Scheduled Interview at Chennai with OLD RECEIPT Number!!!!!!! (Since I got a pop-up that one receipt number is exist , do you want to use that? I selected YES)

As on Nov 4th, due to Gurunanak jayanti, most of the banks were closed. I still did not receive new receipt number and I got message from bank that your 10,880/- deducted on Nov 4th itself.

My question is
1. now can I change the language from English to Marathi?
2. If my earlier B2 got rejected then how could I schedule appointment using same receipt number?

VO- Where do you work sir?
Me- I work for **** (company name) as a **** (my designation) for past 41 Months

VO- great, and how much is your annual pay?
Me- told (decent pay)

VO- who will sponsor your US trip?
Me- Myself

VO- are you married?
Me- no sir, but I have plans to get married within 1 year

VO- Have you traveled international before?
Me- no, but I have my malaysia trip booked for December end (my first international trip)

VO- What does your parents do?
Me- told

VO typed for 2 minutes (the longest 2 minutes of my life) and then came the golden words "I am approving your Visa, have a safe and great trip to the States"
Me- Thank you (with a big smile) and left the Embassy with a smile on my face.

I have a properties in my personal Name.
I have been granted visa for UK, at 4 to 5 times, in 2006,2007/ 2011/2013 and 2017 . presently holding a valid visa for Uk.
I am also holding a Valid visa , for Australia too, ( Recently Granted ) but never travelled before.
I have travelled to Uk in 2006 and 2007, and presently holding Valid visa for Uk, also visited Thailand, China , UAE, and Saudi Arabia (KSA) for Umra and Hajj.
Presently into partner ship in a firm of a friend with is doing a registered business since last 20 years.
I am also receiving monthly pension, from Armed forces on monthly basis.

Can u please update chance of visa or any advice ,

Hi all,
I and my husband had applied for the tourist visa in 2012 which got rejected. We were engaged about to be married in 15 days and had applied for tourist visa as we wanted to go on our honeymoon to USA. Unfortunately we were rejected at that time.
A couple of days ago I applied alone as I have a conference to attend and fortunately I have been given the visa.
Now, my husband also wishes to accompany me what would be the correct way to go about it to not face any disappointment?

I am sharing my parents recent B2 visitor visa interview.
The process was smooth and hassle free. All staff and the VO were very cordial.

Setting the scene: The person in front of me was rejected for sounding scared, she cried immediately upon rejection. I capitalised on this negative environment and came in positive!

At this point we get interrupted by the girl that had been rejected before me, she was demanding for her photo, but he told her you cant have it back. Im sorry but you need to leave now. [During this I tried to show that I wasn't paying attention as to respect the privacy of the individual, of course i was listening.]

Me: Yeah, I believe this is the reason I cannot be approved through esta.

ESTA is the electronic visa authentication which can be used by many european countries, in the eyes of America i am a dual british-iraqi national so I cannot use the Esta service.

CO: You are correct, How many times have you applied via esta?
Me: Twice, Once before Trump became president and the other after his executive order.
CO: Lets see why they were denied, *looking on computer*. Its simply because you were born in Kirkuk.
Me: I figured.

Me: Other than when i was born, no.

I wasn't expecting any trouble since my visa was to confirm Im not a threat to the country, because of where I was born.

i am goverment teacher with 15 years complete, my sallery is 60,000 Rs., i applied for b1/b2 visa,
my husband and children has all ready b1/b2 visa,

they taking total 20 minute and reject me,

i not understand where i am wrong,

i think my children and me not visited other country before, or i apply for B1/B2, I THINK I APPLY ONLY FOR PLEASURE

please guide me so i re apply visa

We have B1/B2 Visa valid for 5 years

Wife's current passport has:
Given Name : XYZ
Surname: ---
Father's Name: ABC

Passport expires in July 2018 - B1/B2 visa valid till 2022

B1/B2 Visa has:

Given Name : FNU
Surname: XYZ

In my wife's New Passport, her father's name will be removed and Husband's Name will be printed.

Given Name :XYZ
Surname: ---
Husband's Name: YYY

There will be no change in her Given name or Surname.

Hence, my question is, Do I need to apply for new B1 /B2 visa for my wife or Can she travel on the same unexpired visa which will be on her old passport?
