I work for a top MNC (fte) and came for F1 to H1 stamp. Already in H1 status from Oct 2018 and before that was on F1-OPT. VO asked general questions like pay, highest education, is FTE etc. At the end kept the pass port but gave the blue slip with admin processing ticked. Also told should not take long.

I had my 2nd H1b visa stamping interview today. Last one expired more than year ago. I am still with the same employer and not have I-140 approved.
The visa officer asked basic questions and was about to issue visa but suddenly started frowning and typing fast on her computer. She asked me what I do again and what kind of products we make. My company makes oil and gas equipment.
She gave me blue slip and said to email all documents. The documents requested doesnt make sense since I would never have it like invitation, publication, research, funding.. Only thing from the list applicable to me is resume and detailed description of work.
anyone else had similar experience?

I went for interview at US consulate-Sydney for my H1B extension.
Interviewer asked me normal questions and handed Greenslip with "Admin processing" checkbox selected.
How many hours do you work per week?
What's your masters degree field?
Have you read the US employee rights manual ?
Interviewer retained my passport and Employer letter(No docs requested).
When I asked interviewer "How long does it take", his reply was I don't know.
It has been 59 days and there is no status update.
I emailed consulate requesting info but it has been more than 6 working days but no response yet.
This wait time is really painful. I have been working with the same employer and client from past 3 years.
Should anything else has to be done from my side? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you !!

Previously on F1 for 6.5 years (MS+PhD). Working in chemical engineering related field since April. Was previously employed on OPT till Oct when change of status was approved. Questions asked were simple and straight forward. VO handed me 221g blue slip and kept my passport.
I was told that I don't have to submit any docs. Surprised to get 221g, since I have never had issues before, but here I am. Also, during the interview the VO only asked to see my passport.

VO asked about my salary, worksite and employer. I work as a FTE with the employer directly. He then asked me about my highest levl of education, I told that I have my master in CS.. He then gave me a 221g blue slip with a case number and told that it will take 1 or 2 weeks for the process.

Had to drop box on Dec 13 th . We got a message to collect the passport on Dec 14 . We knew something was wrong . We go a blue slip asking for client letter . Went today to interview and submitted the letter . The vo asked usual questions and put a post it on the documents saying they need further admin processing and returned the passport . No idea when this is going to be resolved
Update : 12/19 client got call and replied positively
12/26 received mail to submit passport and did on the same day
12/27 First status update on ceac website
12/28 status changed to issued
Received mail to pick up the passport and picked up with Visa stamped
