VO: Asked me to provide I797 A and Client letter. I am FTE so gave him the employer letter and he kept asking client letter and i told him i am FTE and he was not satisfied or confused with my answer. He also misspelled my Job title 3 times i was stunned since it was clearly mentioned in the letter. I had to repeat it for him!!!!

I thought he was going to approve my visa instead gave me YELLOW SLIP to submit all the documents from my Petitioner.
Submitted documents on Nov 13th and did not receive automated email.
I emailed US travel docs 3 times and got response saying the consulate received my documents and it is in admin processing from then CEAC status updated last Nov 17th no update from then. Been following up with NVC and US travel docs and same answer admin processing.
Please let me know if anyone had Interview at MUMBAI consulate.

I provided my passport, I797 & client letter after asked by VO. She then typed in computer and asked if I was ever out of visa status. I said no and I was on cpt until my h1b got approved. VO gave blue slip, asked to submit all h1b documentation docs, employers 3 years taxes, my 3 years taxes, client letter etc. Submitted all documents in 10 days. It has been more than 1 month from the date of document submission. No response yet from the consulate. Does anyone know how long will it take? Thanks

Interview date 02 sep 2021. Put on AP. They asked for my CV so assuming that it is TAL related.
Three months today and I have heard nothing but the standard response.
Really out of options at the moment about what to do to expedite the process.
I saw another person from PAKISTAN mentioning that his AP for O1 visa took 4 months. I am hoping that it comes soon.
Any advice to expedite is appreciated. I am a PhD in robotics with 12 years experience in EU countries. What is taking them so long?

20th Sept : Interview went well and normal questions asked. Then collected finger prints from me and wife(L2). Retained passport , I129S. Then handed over the famous pink slip and asked to mail the resume, work(Present and past), contact in US etc.. Not sure what will the outcome. At this moment status says refused.
Any idea recent pink slip form L1 takes how many weeks/months for a decision. This was for L1A.
Is the pink slip issued because the officer had doubt in my answer. i was honest and truthful in my all answers actually. Or this is purely luck based.
Update 8/Nov - Still refused and no change in date. Frustrating wait continues.
Update 15/Nov -Admin proceeing. Update 16/Nov-Application received.Update 17/Nov -Issued for me and son , stipp application received for wife. 18/Nov -Issued for wife. 19/Nov -passport recived with visa stamped. Lesson learned- most of the cases take upto 60 days because it invovles background verification from DOS.patience is the key.

Hello! Below is the experience from my first ever F1 to H1B stamping in Ottawa, Canada.
* Came to the US in January 2015 as a student and completed my Master's in December 2016.
* Was on OPT and STEM OPT from Feb 2017 to Feb 2019 (got my H1B picked in the lottery in April 2018 and got my case approved in Feb 2019 having had an RFE).
* Feb 2019 to Dec 2019, I had my first approval notice.
* Jan 2020 to Dec 2020, I had my H1B renewed/extended.
* Sep 2020 to Sep 2023, I got my next H1B renewed/extended.
* April 2021, changed employers and that's when I got my H1B extended to April 2024
Submitted DS-160 on November 1, 2021 and got a slot for November 9, 2021 in Ottawa. I went for the interview and was asked basic questions like where do you work, what do you work as, highest qualification, illegal presence ever in the US, etc.
Essentially, the officer told me that they wanted to verify some more information and that she would take my passport. She returned everything else she had asked
