My Interview was on Jan 17, 2017. They asked all the usual questions and the VO stopped questioning after asking my Client name and started typing out something for the next 5mins. She gave me a White slip and said your case needs additional processing and you will receive an email requesting documents. They called me the same day and asked for Employer layers Agreement documents, I797, LCA. I emailed them and no update since then. I check with my client and they did not get any calls/emails regarding my verification.

Had interview for first H1 after MS working as FT for a big US based enterprise company. The interviewer asked just a couple very basic questions and told me that I had to wait for "Administrative Processing" and it would take a few days. There would be no action required on my part except to drop off the passport later when notified. Hoping it will get resolved soon.
02/02/17 - Got email with 221g attached. Passport to be dropped had been checked in the form. Hope this means its approved. The CEAC tracker still shows adminstrative processing.
02/07/2017 - Status date updated in CEAC website with the status still as AP.
02/09/2017 - Status changed to Issued. Waiting to collect passport.

Visa Officer asked me about my highest level of education. I graduated in Life-sciences (Bio-technology). I guess my case is related to the TAL (Technology Alert List). Please find the update on my case below which might be of any help to others.
I was asked for the passport on 27th Jan 2017. it took around 4 to 5 weeks to clear and I got my passport stamped on 2nd Feb and traveled back to US the next day. TAL cases are taking around 4 to 5 weeks of time according to what I have observed.

VO kept all my documents after interview but returned my passport stating that my case needed some extra time and decision cannot be made right now. I specifically asked if my visa is refused but he said, No! my case need administrative processing. He also told when i get an email from embassy i need to turn in my passport to the embassy for visa issuance.
