I applied for H4 Visa. They asked for resume. I sent the document on the same day. Status changed to AP since then. First update on Aug 25th, but still AP. It now more that two months I am waiting. Does anyone have similar experience?

I am a L1 to H1 Case. Was there in U.S for 5+ Years. I140 Approved. Same employer and Client since 5 Years.
Went to Chennai consulate with Spouse & 2 Dependents. Lady V.O asked all Client location, Employee information and few basic questions and asked to wait again.
After 30 Min got a call to attend at a different window(Indian Staff) and was asked to give all my documents (all the employer related information kit) and which I handed over to them. Wait time for one hour. Then a call from the initial V.O who already have a blue slip in her hand, asked for client letter. I showed/ pointed the client letter which was already there in her hand along my all my H1 documents. She then realized that, said OK and tore the blue slip in her hand.
Asked me to wait again and all my documents were taken to a different officer inside. Finally a blue 221g after 4 hrs.
Passports and documents returned. Checked only one box, further admin processing. Its almost 60 days now and no updates
so far.

hi all,
I had my visa interview on 19 Aug, VO took passport, I797,and I129, resume, company letter. Issued a 221g blue slip, said me that they need to do further administrative process.
status changed date from 19 Aug to 14 Sept... but still status is Administrative process.....
Status again got changed on 15 sept to ISSUED, Says your visa is in final processing.
is this means visa issued? can any of you confirm me please

I have a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from a US school. I have worked in the US on a J1 for the last 5 years. I came to India for an H1B stamping and was given a 221G-blue. VO took my passport and offer letter from a major US University and told me that it would take a couple of weeks.
I have no red flags on my application, other than the fact that I work for the biotech sector.

I am working as business analyst in an insurance company in IT dept. in Philly. I did my MS in Engineering Science and thesis in Biomedical area. When i applied for F1 in 2009 i got a pink slip which took 5 weeks to resolve and got F1 visa from 2009 till 2014.
I went for first H1B stamping on Sept 7. The VO asked me about my job (797 only did not ask about employment letter) on H1 and on opt period and then started asking about my MS program. Then VO looked into the computer and said you did something in biomed explain. As i was explaining she pulled out blue slip and asked me to submit resume. I did that and then VO said they don't need any thing for now it will take between 2 to 4 weeks to resolve.
Does anyone know
1.how much is avg wait time in Ottawa to clear blue slip?
2. what will happen now (TAL/Mantis?).
3. Will it help if i inform my school and thesis adviser to be proactive if any query comes?
4 Is there any one else who is or was stuck in Ottawa (now or in the past)?
