I was approved for Dropbox and submitted on the 29th August. I got my passport back with a white 221g slip. I was only asked to appear for personal interview. After the interview the VO took my passport and said my case needs further processing. I see there is another update to my case on CEAC for 12th Sep but the status is still AP. Anyone else with experience like this? Really hope I get my visa soon.

Here is my case with dates.
In US for last 15 months , came to visit family (India) for 3 weeks.Working in EVC model
Eligible for DROP-BOX and I did submitted my I797 ( With Previous employer , Current Employer , Amendment ) LCA ,
Amendment with PUNE STANLEY office.
29th AUG :- Documents Submitted
CEAC status :- AP & PP tracking status was "Reached Consulate"
31st -AUG
CEAC status :- AP & PP tracking status was "PICK-UP"
When Went to collect the passport , got to know I have 221G white slip , asking to appear for an interview.
Tick On :-> "You must Appear for an interview with a consular officer on any working day from 10:30 Am to 11:00 AM
Please bring this letter and your passport with you. DO NOT make a new appointment"
Going for Interview on 6th of Spet
I have already have return tickets for 16th SPT . Not sure If I can make that .
Any one have /Had same scenario after drop box?

Hi,
I appeared for the stamping with wife and kid at Chennai consulate. Mine is a cap-exempt transfer from my previous employer.The VO was friendly, had few words with my kid and started with few questions
(Note: I work for an reputed company with large presence in US)
VO - you have been to US multiple times..
me- Yes, have been for business purpose and last one was on H1 for work.
VO - yes, I see the records. And you din't say long on your previous visa..?
me - Yep, I had to come back to India for personal reasons.
VO - And you din't take your family last time.
me - Smiled and said yes, but this time I'm planning to take them.
VO - smiled and said thats good.
VO - Sir, can I see your I797?
me - gave the original
VO - How long are you with this new employer?
me - for 3.5 years.
VO - Pls show me client letter
me - sorry I don't have one
VO - went and discussed with the VO on next counter, came back and handedover blue 221g and said sorry to kid.
Submitted the documents and waiting.

I had interview on 04 January,2016 and the VO gave me blue slip with saying your case need additional admin process will contact you in 2-4 weeks time. It's been more than 4 weeks and still waiting for update the status. I was in US and i did COS with in US in 2014. I came to India for some family emergency in end of November 2015. Don't know how long take time for AP???? If any one has any suggestion inbox me.
After 8 months received reply its denied under section 214(b).
03/24/2016 : Status Date Changed with same common msg.
03/30/2016 : Called NVC:- same response wait till AP done.
04/18/2016 : Status Date Changed with same common msg.
04/20/2016 : Received new 221g request to re-appear for interview with VO during weekdays except Wednesday.
08/19/2016 : Re-appeared for interview and received reply on 09/01/2016 about file is denied.

221g blue : May 16th asking to appear for the interview with a checklist of docs.
Interview attended : 20th June 2016
Visa officer, checked only the LCA and my W2s and the client letter.
Retained the client letter for verification and returned all other documents along with my passport.
Client verification email was sent on June 22nd and client replied back same week.
Since then, it's been more than 60 days. No status update.
Anyone with the similar situation?

Awaiting administrative processing and no updates for last two weeks.
No status update since May 27, 2016. Still on AP.
Already have valid US visa (other category) that I got in two days, this interview went good as well, Officer requested for CV and was submitted soon within two hours after the interview.
Status date changed from 27 May to 5 August. (Still AP).
Status changed again on August 11, 2016. I contacted embassy and they informed that AP has been completed successfully and submit passports.
