Had a DUI in Feb 2016 which is still pending. Came back to India for stamping - Interview date was 28th June - given 221g by VO for medical. Got medical done at max on 28th & 29th June. in 221g was asked to submit Medical Report + Copy of Court Papers + Passport. Submitted all three on 7th July. Saw below status updates -

Hi All,
Actually i came for my engagement from US for two weeks vacation.I have all legal valid docs with my client letter.I was apporved for drop box but i have changed my employer they asked me for Interview at embassy.So i went to interview on June 10
Visa officer asked me client letter by looking into it.She told me they need to validate client letter it may take some more time and issued me 221g
It is almost 26 days still my client didnt get any call.I am worried now do my case will take more than 60 days to resolve??

i have attended interview on 11th Aug, VO asked for client letter, but I didn't have it, VO asked to wait in the lobby, waited for an hour, then asked more details about client and my educational and Exp details, told everything, and then asked me to wait again, after 30 mins, given 221g form blue slip and told we need some more time to issue the visa and kept on Administrative processing status.

Interview was ok, just basic questions. I was asked to email CV with research experience, publications and other information. Emailed them my CV the next day and got a confirmation a day after.
I was expecting 221g as my masters major is under TAL and I got 221g before, for F1 visa which got approved after 40 days of processing.

Second update: 05 Aug 2016. Status changed to 'READY'.

Received passport with visa on 10 Aug 2016. Interestingly, my visa is valid only for 2 yrs even though the h1b petition was approved for 3 yrs.

The Visa Officer not only verbally advised that my visa was approved, but also gave me a "Congratulation" slip. She endorsed all 3 copies of I-129 with "Approved" stamp and told me that the passport will be delivered within a week. No 221-G slip.
But, on CEAC website, the status was showing AP since 07/21 and after the usual 3 business days passed, my worst nightmare became true.
