I appeared for the Interview on 23rd Feb. It was a normal interview and VO asked me regular questions. Took all my documents and passport and gave me a blue slip stating that Additional Administrative processing required. There has been no status update since then.

I was handed over a White Slip at New Delhi and the visa officer said that there are no documents that you are required to submit. Your application needs more administrative processing and you will be informed once we have made a decision. I think the Department of State will contact the employer in US and carry out some verification.

I went to interview with my 2 dependents , the inter view went fine and interviewer said he is approving my visa.
8-2-2016 received a mail to collect the passports of my dependent.
8-4-2016 got the mail as below.
Dear Sir / Madam,
Your case is required to undergo further additional administrative processing. Per the adjudicating officer’s advice you will need to respond to the attached file and get back to us at the earliest.
We would begin initiating the additional process once we receive the detailed answers requested.
8-5-2016 -The documents requested were invitation letter ,resume,countries visited in last 10 yrs ,and US Advisor contact details.The
were submitted.
This is second this is happening to me last time got passport after 6 months ,hope this dose't repeat this time.

My wife got a 221g for her F1 stamping. They took her passport and she was asked for CV and research paper which she already submitted on 15th Jul.
Status is AP since then. Any idea how much it is taking these days to clear F1 221g ? She was currently in her CPT in USA. She had to go back to India on an urgent basis for family reasons. It has been 19 days .. no updates till now
Update 08/04/2016 :Status updated as of 08/04/2016 but still showing AP
Update 08/05/2016 :Issued.
In all it took about 21 days. Best of luck to everyone waiting. If your case is genuine , you will get approval. As I have seen, 95% of the cases get approval.

Company was contacted by DOS on 07-July-2016 with a questionnaire which was responded on 08-July-2017 ..... No update since then
I am a full time employee of mid size American company
Worked in US for the past 8 years in IT.....i140 approval twice both time with reputed American companies
No TAL... Never had any issue with 3 previous visa stampings
