I had interview on Feb 8th. I have PhD in chemistry. I was given yellow slip and was asked to submit my research papers a day later. I sent them. 16 days later, 02/26 I was asked to submit my passport for visa issuance. Passport was delivered to them on 02/29. Its been almost a week, I have no update on my passport. When I emailed consulate, I was told that it would take another week to process. I am little concerned as why it would take so long if clearance has been received. Any feedback is appreciated.

VO asked general questions regarding client name, address and the work I do. I also have a degree in biotech (though I dont work in bio anymore). VO asked me about my bio research background and asked me how long i did research in the field. Then he handed me the case 221(g) blue slip with a case number and selected the "administrative processing" option. He took my passport and resume and kept it with him. He said this was normal and I had nothing to worry about. He asked me to check the status of my case online and said I should hear back in 2 weeks.
Two and half weeks later -- My status changed to "Issued" online. I got an e-mail the same evening saying my passport has been shipped to the pick up location.

Attended interview for H1 along with my spouse for H4 on Jan 12, 2016. VO asked very basic questions and made us to wait for 2.5hrs and then issued blue slip(221G) and said not able to pull up my petion details.

We went to India for our marriage and got into this black hole of 221g and got to become apart in less than one month of our marriage. No Documents asked and no questionnaire sent and no updates till now either.. Follow-up was done through an Immigration Attorney, Senate and Congressman but of no use and get the same reply as if like CEAC status track.. Most frustrating situation..

Hi all,
I attended my H1b Visa interview on 11th Feb. Initially the VO shooted up simple questions like employer , client , Client address etc. Later he started asking about my project. Without going in technical, he was asking on primary level like where it is used, main purpose and blah blah. Though I was not prepared for such questions, some how I managed to answer all questions correctly.
Then he asked my Resume . I gave the same &he was looking at that for sumtime and gave me Blue Slip with Administrative processing. Then he told me , "Ur Visa needs further processing. So you dont want to come here again, You will receive email if we need some info from you"
With a anxiety, I asked, "May I know why I have been issued this slip"
VO said, "Dont worry. There is nothing worry about this. Its just process & you can check the status through the case no mentioned.
Now my Passport & Resume is with him. I'm more worried abt this. Will I get my visa approved? Pls assist me !
