CO- Explained in 4-5 sentences - business discussions.

No, Not at all

Advantage if you have other stamps in your passport
I want to keep this concise. My interview was sometime in November 2011.
I was not asked any questions other than my company name and what I am going to the US for.
She didnt even look at my schedule but saw only the invite letter. I had joined the company in August 2011, so it was just 2 months into my job.
I had some visa stamps before , from US(H1B expired),UK visitor, Schengen, German work permit and Swedish work permit.
I think if you have some stamps on your passport it gives an idea that you have visited countries before but not become an immigrant there.
my 2 cents - be confident, tell the truth

VO: there were three counters and empty., and my token appeared she asked me to come.

I showed my token and she seem pleased. Maybe this was an error from my side.

Where are u travelling.
I said name of city, Country
she repeated it, I said yes.

How long are u travelling
4 weeks

is this your first visa?
Yes, I nodded, though I travelled before (i must have said I have travelled before). though I showed her other passports.

what is your salary
i said x lakhs

what is the purpose of the visit.
i said business meetings

how many years have you been with company.
i said 2 months after a fumble.

why is your company not sending a new employee.
i said I have experience and an expert ( mistake) . She said everyone has experience. What do you know about your company in 2 months.

then she started writing and handed me a 214 b reject

**** **** *
I am posting this so that others dont make the same mistake. I will apply again but not when I am just 2 months in a company.

I appreciate this site. Thanks a lot :)

I just came from the interview here at Chennai.

My interview experience is as follows:

Not sure whether I was lucky or my preparations helped me.

I was sparely asked questions. Just 3 it was. AFAIK VO didn't even look at any documents. Wonder what she was doing on the computer. :D

Questions:

VO: Hi, How are you doing
Me: Fine thanks, what about you?
VO: fine with a smile.

1. Which company:
NetApp

2. Duration of stay
17 days

3. Purpose
Explained in a single line
silence .......

This is what happened next, I though she was looking for more explanation and I started talking. Actually she was not expecting anything and she got startled!

Then she said something and put my documents into the box. It was not audible.
(I guess she said I am letting you go)

 I asked her again.

She said "your visa is approved!"

Thankyou :)

The VO i got was a foreigner may be thats the reason only 3 questions :)
