Business Visa - B1

I just got my B1 Visa approved. Is there a way you can find out before receiving the passport if your visa is multiple or single entry?

This is how my interview went.
VO:hello,passport and Ds form please
Mi:Hello sir gudmorning(with a smile) and passed the passport.
Vo:U? a nurse?
Mi:Yes sir am a nurse
Vo:Experience?
Mi:3yrs
Vo:whý are you going to the USA?
Mi:To attend a conference (Association of nurses in Aids Care)
Vo:where in USA are you going?
Mi:Atlantic,Georgia
Vo:Have you ever travelled to anyothr country before?
Mi:yes sir,Rwanda and Kenya.
Vo:How did you know about the conference?
Mi:Through the medical officer of health at my hospital(where i work as a nurse)
Vo:Who's sponsoring your trip?
Mi:My company(hospital)
Vo:anything to support dat?
Mi:gave him the confirmation letter from my work place.
After looking at it for about 2 mins,he typed on his computer then he said,sorry I can't approve ur visa nw and passed m214(b) form....I was in a formal dress,wore my work place ID,I was calm and had supporting documents.
Any advice please of what went wrong? I need to apply again,what can I consider?

Hi everyone,am from Uganda and i want to share my visa experience with you.
I had my interview on the 4th October 2016 and it was a rejection.

I found this site very useful to prepare for my interview, so I'm adding my exp also here, may be it be useful for someone.

Biometric was on the previous day. I took my DS160 FORM and required docs. There a was person who verified my details in DS160 with my passport while I was standing in the queue. He found there was a single space in the first name *MISSING*.. I was **** scared, as I flew from delhi to hyd for this. Thank god, he told me, to go to internet café near by and recreate DS160 again. There is a guy who is sitting right outside. Went and gave my form and refilled all the details quickly. Again came and stood back in line and finger print got completed.

Next day was the interview

1. How long are you working in the current organization.
2. Have you travelled to US before. How many times.
3. Which place did you go to, during your last visit

 Thank you , your visa will be approved.

Went to consulate, a small waiting queue, and then finally my chance. He was a young male officer, and asked me a whole lot of questions:

VO: What purpose?
Me: Negotiating contracts, knowledge sharing etc etc

VO: Invitation letters?
Me: Gave them, he looked at their websites, asked a few questions.

VO: What's your income?
Me: Told xxxx, VO asked for bank statements, etc.

VO: Married?
Me: Yes sir

Types for 30 sec or so, and tells my visa is approved.

I appeared for b1 interview in Delhi .

Sorry to say but it was a very demotivating experience . People were crying , feeling sad young people of 15 years age were also there and crying like hell . I went there for a business meeting purpose , not holding any criminal records , my company wanted me to apply visa for US for an upcoming project .

The lady approved visa for an aunty in front of me who was visiting her daughter but denied my visa

She asked me tese questions :

1) What are you going for
To attend business meeting for gathering requirements

2) Which company are you working for
xxxx

3) how long will your stay be
2 weeks

4) Am i married
yes

5) Who is your client
xxx client

People there had came 6th,7th time , seriously speaking I am not against rejecting visa but this should be done on genuine basis or they should not call us there for interview . This was very hurting as well as demotivating experience for me . It was like i was jailed for no crime done

I appeared for b1/b2 visa interview on 20/9/2016 at Chennai cosulate and below were the questions asked to me during the interview.

1. Purpose of visit - Answered
2. Place of Visit - Answered
3. Duration of stay - 3 weeks
4. What are my roles in my current comapny - Answered
5. Have I ever visited any other country ? - No
6. Am I married ? - No

I answered these questions properly and at last consular gave me a blue slip marking the point on it which says "your case requires additional admisnistrative processing before a final decision can be made" and he handed over me the form. He kept my passport and said if they need any information they will ask over mail.

As of now status still says "Admisnistrative Processing" with no mails or notifiaction. Can anybody help to what all these means and how long it will take to come to a final decision ?
How much are the chances of getting it approved ?

In between VO lady was typing many things. And she searched one green form and put in one passport. I thought she is inserting refusal letter in passport. Then she typed for many seconds. We were silent. Looked at eachother. And then she broke the ice. Ok I am approving for you (wife) and son. You can collect your passports in the evening. And for you, you have to provide this information (green paper) as soon as possible.
She gave my passport back to me. She kept two passports (wife and son).
After receiving my passport, We started moving out of that building and thinking what happened. Then while going home in auto, we were reading that form. After reaching home, I discussed that form with three people, sent them its pics. Searched in net. We came to know it is green paper, request for more information against section 221g. They are unable to take decision. They want more info about me. Like my detailed CV, job responsibilities, research I have done till date. Last 10 years, countries visited and purpose and research I did if any. Abstract of all papers and their practical application. Itinerary of travel to USA. Which research I am going to conduct etc?
we gave Blue dart panaji address to collect passports. Our interview was on 04 april 2016. And passports reached Goa, panaji on 05 april morning. I didn’t have any idea that passports will reach so early. So I didn’t check status till 9 april evening. When I checked, I talked to Panaji blue dart courier office. They said they will send it back in 8 days. So they were going to send it back on 13 april. So I took my wife and son, hired taxi on Monday 11 april. And gave adhaar card for wife, school icard for 6 years old son. Xerox and my wife signed and collected. (please note, no other person can collect passports other than self) That was 10 years multiple entry visa.
Actually it is very easy to collect passports from Mumbai VAC itself. As they give same day in the evening. VAC is the office where we gave our biometric data. In that building only there is a counter facing outside the building. There is a short queue. Easy to get it.
My case was still pending. I sent all info asked on april 10. Waiting.
I was expecting some information from website after 15 calendar days. But it came after 17 working days. On 28 april, 2016 I received email to submit passport. They asked some documents too (passport, print of this email asking to submit passport, letter or paper I got during interview (which was actually not asked in email- that was surprise for me at the drop box counter in Mumbai and thank GOd I carried some extra documents), two copies of manually filled form). The form was downloaded from the link provided in the email. That form was just an acknowledgement slip which will be signed by VAC when I will be submitting the form. If they ask any other document, you can come out and in the same building there is an office like shop. They provide computers, net, coffee restaurant and lockers etc. you can download from your email or ask your friend to mail you.
I submitted my passport on May 4, 2016. My VISA was issued and my passport reached Panaji Blue dart office on & May. I collected it on 9th May. It was one year multiple. The persons who are asked to submit 221g, they usually get 1 year visa only first time. Next time they are likely to get 10 year visa.
So from my view point following things are most important
Truth, Read DS 160 form. If possible fill DS 160 form in details. As much as possible. Otherwise they will ask for more information as in my case.
Travel history to good country
Answer the question asked, precisely.
Never ever answer the question with question. Like how can I leave him. How can I do that etc. Try to make your situation understand by positive and precise words.
Always apply with wife/husband and children.
Read immihelp experience about 40 pages.

 The person ahead of me took half an hour hence I also got nervous.
 Lady asked me
 Where are u going
 How many days I told 3 weeks
 What is purpose
 Are u married
 How many children I told two
 What is age
 When u r going who wil take care of them I told grand parents and my husband

Then she gave my passport and give paper reason 214b
 No ties with home country

Can u help me .
 Can I apply immediately
 What precaution should I take and what additional documents

My B1 visa got approved on 20th Sep, please find the interview questions below.

VO: Why are you travelling to USA.
Me: To meet my team members and attend knowledge sharing sessions.

VO: What type of Knowledge sharing session.
Me: I provided information about the training in 1 line only.

VO: How this training is going to be beneficial for your company.
Me: bla bla answered in 2 lines.

VO: How this training is going to benefit your team.
Me: I am going to train my support team once I ll come back.

VO: Number of people in your team.
Me: Answered

VO: How long you have been working with this company.
Me: 4 years

VO: Where will you stay during your visit.
Me: Company guest house.

VO: You visa is approved and you can collect your passport in 2 days.
Me: Big smile and thank you very much

(To be honest I was much tense but as per my experience it looks they just check your body language, confidence. Best of luck Guys who are going to appear for the interview soon and Thank a lot IMMIHELP Team)
