B1/B2 VISA - Mumbai
I gave interview for US B1 VISA at Mumbai Consulate
There was a long queue for interviews during my time slot at 9:30 AM and It took me almost 45-1 hr, My interview actually happened somewhere around 10:30 AM

As I was waiting for my turn I saw too many VISAs getting rejected.
Each VO was asking multiple questions to the candidates and 5/10 people were getting rejected.
I soon found out that it wasn't for B1/B2 and was for other VISAs

My turn came finally on counter 23.

My Questions
VO: What is the purpose of your Visit
ME: To attend business meetings and understand project requirements

VO: Which company do you work for
ME: Answered

VO: How long have you been working for this company
ME: Answered

VO: Which company you worked for before this
ME: Answered

VO: How long are you going to stay in US
ME: 3 weeks

VO: Your VISA is Approved!

NO DOCUMENTS ASKED
Business Visitors VISAs are usually easy to get and not many questions will be asked.

All the Best !

I hope this experience will help people applying VISA through Mumbai Consulate

B1/B2 Visa Approved at Chennai
I attended B1/B2 Visa Interview on 12th July 2016. Below are the Important Tips for Interview

1. Dress appropriately - Formal Attire. Tie is must. Blazer or Coat is preferred. Make yourself look presentable.
2. Do not chit chat when you are in the queue as you may be monitored in CCTV cameras.
3. Be confident. It should show in your body language. The way you walk/talk etc

This one is the most important. Just before your Interview, you will be assigned a counter by the volunteer and you have to wait behind a line 3 ft away from the counter while the interview of somebody else is in progress.

Just stand straight and look forward as there are chances that the US Consul may be looking at you. Do not look here and there or show any signs of nervousness.
Once the interview of the previous person is done, do not walk towards the counter. Wait for the nod or a signal from the consul asking you to come.

The above tips always creates a good first impression.

Below was the conversation.

Me: Good Morning
VO: Good Morning. Passport please.

VO: Why are you going to the US?
Me: To Attend Business meetings and discussions with the client.

VO: Where are you going in the US?
Me: Told the location

VO: What is the duration of stay?
Me: 5 weeks

VO: Who is your client?
Me: Told the clients name

VO: What do you do for the client?
Me: We support the XYZ application.

VO: What is your role?
Me: Told the role

VO: What is your salary?
Me: YYY Per Month

VO: Ok, Your visa is approved.
Me: Thank You!

All the best People!!!

B1/B2 Visa approved @New Delhi Consulate on July 5
My VISA got approved on July 5 at New Delhi consulate. I would like to share my experience during the whole process.

DS 160 :
I had scheduled my OFC and appointment as per the DS 160 after payment but later realized that I had not put my complete employment information. Hence generated a new DS and included the missing the data. I carried both old and new DS forms for the OFC as I can have my profile updated with the new DS ID.

July 3, OFC :
I had OFC at 1 PM on July 3. I reached by 12 PM and by 12.15 PM formed a queue and before entering the office during the check i informed the personnel that I have to get my profile updated with new DS. Accordingly, he arranged the required docs to be taken which included New DS confirmation copy, Appointment confirmation copy and passport.

After entering the office there was a security check and again formed my queue. On my turn, I informed the person that my profile needs to be updated. He first stuck the sticker of my old DS behind the passport and then took print of new DS and stuck it above the previous one. Also, my profile was updated with new DS ID.

Then collected token and waited for my turn and went to the counter as was being displayed on the screen. The biometric included scan of the fingers of both hands and a photo was taken.

July 5, Interview :

My interview was scheduled at 8.30 AM and I reached by 7.40 AM. The queue for appointees at 8.30 AM was formed within 5 minutes and after the security check and biometric verification i got in to the queue for interview. Below are the questions asked to me:

ME: Hello Mam, GM
VO: GM

VO: Which company are you working for?
ME: Replied

VO: What is the purpose of your visit?
ME: To participate in business meeting and attend company sponsored training session and workshop

VO: For how many days are you traveling?
ME: Exactly 15 days

VO: What are the meeting about?
ME: The meeting is to discuss business requirement and understand the project infrastructure

VO: What is your designation?
ME: Senior Systems Engineer

VO: How many people do you manage?
ME: I manage 5 people in my team

VO: What is your monthly salary?
ME: Told as is mentioned in the form in Rupees

VO: Why did you travel to Philippines?
ME: To attend business meeting

After this VO said that my VISA is approved. I thanked her and left the office. Though my interview was scheduled at 8.30 AM, i was done with everything by 8.15 AM.

I would say the key to cracking the interview is confidence. I have only 4 months experience in my current company, but I was prepared to deliver my best. Do carry all the documents but only the passport is required.

Thanks IMMIHELP to help people prepare for the interview through the experiences shared which is just enough to clear the interview.

B2 visa for Mother in Law Chennai
My mother in law(MIL) had her B2 interview on 06/29/2016 , the interview was scheduled for 8.30am in the morning and we opted for Malayalam translator. She is a widow and was planning to visit my wife here , we both have green cards, that was our primary worry .But she got her visa.We did prepare her quite well . Following are the questions asked.

1)Why do you want to got to USA?

2)When did you daughter go to USA?

3)What does she do there ?

4)Where does she work ? This they asked her three times while typing on the computer screen.

5)How do you manage expenses in India ? She aswered my son as she stays with her son after her husbands death.

6) What is the guarantee that you will return back ? We had trained her for this answer very well , by saying that she has property and land and she is responsible for getting her son marriaed and that she is on lookout so would definitely come back.

7)Then the VO asked for copies of my wife's passport and green card

8)Finally he responsed Visa is approved !.

All in all it was a pleasant experience/ Hope this helps . Just be confident and train your parents well , yes nobody can predict the outcome but at-least we can do out best.
