L2 EAD renewal - any option to expedite
Hi Everyone,

MY L2 EAD is expiring on August 30 2019. The USCIS had sent me a notice on May 1st saying they had received my documents. I've been following up with them all this while but they don't have an update on status. I spoke with the Senator's office in helping me either expedite the case or get me an extension on the current EAD - they said they will try but said they hadn't had much success with USCIS in the past. The L2 EAD is not eligible for the 180 day automatic extension.

Is there anything else I can do to expedite the case or get an extension on my current EAD? I work for a start up and I don't think unpaid leave will sit well with them (they've asked me to try out everything and will take a call next week on next steps).

Thanks,
Neha

Timelines are changed again
Hey guys, NBC timelines are changed again.

From 2.5 - 5 months, now it's 3.5 - 5.5 months already.

I just chatted with a live agent and she said that the workload was revisited based on their backlog. And they need to update the timelines based on it so at least applicants and petitioners can still keep up with what's happening real-time.

This is so sad.

I was hoping to get some good news today but only to find out a shocking surprise in their website.

Terrible and horrible... hope they can find someone who can improve this system. It's just a basic workload management and standardization of process. They even say that some cases are taking longer to process than the rest. Well, I guess they need to find a solution for that and not just getting stuck about dealing with same processes that makes everything piled up and explode. Changing of timelines is not a solution nor a quick fix. It just adds up to the agonizing truth of how poor the system works for everyone.

EAD Processing Times
It seems that just “rolled back the clock”, now we’re at March 12 SR date from March 25 yesterday.

These wait times are nasty. What do we do?

Processing Time Update
Has anyone checked the processing time for I765 today? Somehow the processing time has gone backwards for March. My PD is March 19th. Last Saturday, 8/18, we submitted an SR for outside of normal processing times (still has yet to be assigned to anyone). Today I looked and the processing times went backwards to March 12th, 2019. Yesterday I believe they were at the 25th or 26th. What do you think happens to the SRs submitted about cases that are now not technically outside of normal processing time? All comments welcome.

Update on Service Request
Hey guys,

Houston TX (processing at NBC)
02/19/2019: USCIS Received Date
02/25/2019: Notice Date

I placed a SR on 7/30 for my I-765 (expected reply by 8/21) and another SR for my I-131 on 8/01 (expected reply by 8/23).

Today I checked my status and I noticed the following updates for both I-765 and I-131:

- On August 22, 2019, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***MSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

- On August 22, 2019, we sent a response to your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***MSC.

- On August 22, 2019, your inquiry about why your case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number SR***MSC, was completed.

The case status for my I-765 still shows "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" and the I-131 shows "Case Was Received".

Does anyone have experience with something similar? What should I expect? Should I put in another SR?

EAD
Hello guys.
My EAD was approved and in the mail to be arrived tomorrow.
Do you know if EAD comes with Social Security Card? or social security card arrives after that?
My lawyer asked for social security card when sending EAD application.
