No Change for Processing Times on 2018 Cases
Hello all,
After contacting many representatives through Chat with Emma, I had begun to suspect there was something they weren’t telling us.
Me: Should we be following the previous timeline for processing times? It used to be 8.5 months max for EAD and 23 months max for I-485.
Rep: Correct, you will be following the previous timeline for processing times.
Me: Because we filed in 2018 instead of 2019?
Rep: That is correct.
Guess they’re trying to look like their processing times aren’t crazy long, but they really are. Guess their scheme was to process a few from earlier this year for data purposes for the campaign. Wow, the president has actually sped up processing times. (Eyeroll)

EAD Expedite
I expedited on 7/24.
RFE sent on 7/30.
I received a letter saying case is under review 8/2.
I raised an SR but the officer put in another expedite.
Got a letter today saying case is under review. Have an offer letter starting work on 8/26.
Any experience with this? When do you think decision will be making?

Social Security
Does the social security letter come in the mail or do I pick it up at the post office?
I got my informed delivery email today and I was supposed to receive a mail from Social Security, but it didnt come in the mail today.
Could it have been misplaced or do I have to pick it up from the post office?

EAD I765 Approval - Exactly 5 Months
Just want to give some hope to those still waiting and show my timeline.
Location: New York, NY
I765 case filed: 03/13/19 National Benefits Center
I131 case filed: 03/13/19
I765 case approval: 08/15/19
I131 case approval: 08/17/19
I765 card sent for production: 08/15/19
I765 card mailed: 08/16/19
I will mention that I filed an expedite request for “severe financial loss.” It was a long shot as I didn’t really suffer too much financial loss even though my previous EAD expired but the day I faxed my cover letter of proof which was basically just a letter of desperation, I got approved the same day. Might just have been a coincidence but thought I would let everyone know.
I also filed with an attorney which I assume helped speed it up but it took exactly 5 months.

Green card through Marriage
I have read the posts on this forum so many times to keep my hopes alive, so I know how important it is to pass it on to those still waiting!
Filed on December 10th 2018 through the Chicago lock box
According to the USCIS website the processing time was 90 days
WRONG
I had to wait 250 days! I just had my EAD 12 days ago and my interview yesterday!
It is a long road! They keep you in the dark for the most part of it.
But if you are honest and have nothing to hide. You will be fine!
I have a job offer and a baby on the way!
The USCIS app works very well unless you like signing in everyday
I started working after filing and admitted it to the officer during the interview and it didn’t seem like a problem!
Don’t make plans before you have your EAD and/or green card in hand because you will be disappointed!
It is hard but it is worth it! America is the greatest country in the world.

03/19/2019 I485 case was transferred to another office
