What does EAD is being adjudicated means?
I applied for my I-765 and I-485 with the receipt date of March 5, 2019. Since the wait time for EAD processing at NBC is 6.5m to 8.5m I applied for expedite processing through the USCIS and through congressman (since I had a job offer and my spouse's father is undergoing an operation). The last update was on May 2, 2019 where I received an email from USCIS saying my case in under review for expedite processing. Today (May 31, 2019) I spoke to USCIS L2 officer and they said my case is being adjudicated. What does that mean?

He said he cannot see a decision on whether my Expedite request was approved or not but my case was assigned to an officer and I should keep my fingers crossed.

04/02/2019 RFE for I-485
05/15/2019 I-485 case ready to be scheduled for an interview
I have summited 2 SR’s for the I-765 and got this response yesterday:
“Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner.“
It’s been 245 Days. I’m desperate, and do not know what to do. Should I contact my congressman or use the ombudsman resource?

Employment based
Looks like majority of people in NBC are marriage based. Are things any different for employment based applications in NBC or is it the same unending wait time.

Curious
My husband is a green holder and my date became current in 12/2018 after which I filed for my work permit (I-765) and adjustment of status (I-485). How much longer do I need to wait for my EAD and green card interview?
Also, now that my date has become current, my case is also the same as that of a US citizen spouse or is my wait time still longer than that?

PS I waited two years for my date to get current.

Waiting on EAD
Marriage based
Service Center: NBC (Filed with Chicago Lockbox)
AOS RD: 2/22/2019
Notification for Biometrics: 3/1/2019
AOS Biometrics: 3/20/2019
EAD/ Travel document RD: 3/8/2019 (because I didn't know about EAD until a week after I filed AOS 😅)
Notification for EAD Biometrics: 3/15/2019
EAD Biometrics: 4/2/2019

As of today in May
AOS is showing Fingerprint Fee was received
EAD/I-131 is showing Case is received

All this lengthy processing time is honestly a hassle.
I been offer a position twice and both times I have to let them know I don't have a work permit yet....... I'm fingercrossing my EAD will be produced soon. I'm praying on the 90 days mark 😅even though I know it is a tiny chance..... I don't know how most people deal with being out of work for this long period of time. It is very unsettling being unemployed.
On top of that, I have family emergency back in my home country so I have to file to expedite travel document for June departure.
