Expedite EAD or New H1b?
Hi Guys,

Here is my situation.

I am on H1b. I filed for EAD under marriage based (US Citizen) on Nov 1 at NBC. Fingerprints were processed on Dec 5th, and since then, no updates at all. For i 485, case is ready to schedule for an interview since May 1st. Case processing date reached till Oct 31st and now is back to Sep (missed it by 1 day).

I have another job offer (my dream job) and they want me start already. I have already delayed joining date twice and now the latest they expect me to start is on June 10th. I really can't afford to lose this opportunity.

a) Is there any way I can expedite it? If yes, any suggestions how?

b) Not their first preference but my new employer is ready to file for H1b if it really comes down to that. Will my new employer filing my H1b and me transferring over complicate my EAD and GC? My new job is a bit different than my current job under H1b.

Thank you all in advance.

R

US Senate is trying to help with USCIS Backlog
Hey Guys,
I'm in a similar situation to all of you, hoping and praying the processing dates don't slip further than 8.5 months.
Take a look at the article I found on the weekend ... seems the Senate is just as concerned as we are:

EAD status changed
Hi All,
My RD: 11/5/2018, EB @NBC. On 5/23, status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced".

When should I be getting the card? I read in some post it would take ~10 days.

This forum has been very helpful to get idea about the timeline. I will post the next update...

Thanks!!

Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
Looking for some feedback NBC- LA filler (San Fernando)... I'm so homesick and so sad to not have seen my family for 2 years and half :(

Time frame:
-Receipt Notice: November 13th, 2018

=> From H1B to green card by marriage with adjustment of status.

- Since then still no EAD

- Form I485 changed on March 27th to Interview is ready to be scheduled and since then nothing.

I saw today that the processing time for the travel document increased for NBC. A few days ago they were at October 30th and it changed to October 1st...à

Q1: Can I contact them to know where my application stand or is it too early?

Q2: I am interviewing for a job, if I have an offer letter can I expedite it?

Q3: I almost have no savings anymore to live is this considered as a Severe financial loss?

Q4: What is the timeframe for the interview to be scheduled? I'm USCIS CHATSWORTH, 91311

If you have any comments or similar experience in the same area, I would love some support or feedback right now?

Thank you :))

February filler
So I've read all of your posts, like three or four times, so I know you guys quite well now. Apparently since I am February filler, I am gonna share this little experience that I have, so February fillers or any fillers that are still waiting for EAD, lets gather here together and cry together while we wait. Who cries the most, they have the proof to expedite their EAD. 😂

February filler, filled at NBC Chicago lockbox

Las Vegas, Nevada
Marrige based C9, F2A, married to USC - i485, i765, i130, i693, i864, and some supplement forms i325a

Priority date: February 19th
Notice dates for i485, i130, i765 : February 27th
Biometrics: March 20th, and as of March 21th they reviewed my fingerprints

Soo, since then nothing. So I am just gonna hope NBC will start to process application from other months in a year, not just September, because hey, they really love that September. What can I say, stay strong guys, exercise a little bit, enjoy your free time, because when you get your EAD I am guessing you are gonna work 24/7.

March EAD Filer
Hi everyone!

NBC March filer - marriage based

I am currently on an L1a visa which expires end June 2019. My EAD will likely (!) not be approved in that time and I would like to travel out of the US until it’s approved.

My L1 visa in my passport doesn’t expire until 2022. Anyone know if I can leave/return with that visa or if my PED needs to be valid or I need to have advance parole?
