renewal timeframe
Hi all,

I am in a big pickle as I did not realize the time it takes to renew work permits. I only have 2 months left on my work permit and I only just filed. Does any one know if I can get it turned around in time? I will lose my job otherwise. It is a straightforward renewal and I need to use the Texas processing facility.

Many thanks!

EAD is being produced
After 231 days I finally received some good news! My EAD is being produced. I was given the runaround by USCIS for months and found out last month that the RFIE they sent me back in May 2018 was in error. That in turn delayed my case. After I contacted my congressman that's when my case started moving. My timeline is below.

04/09/18: PD
04/18: Checks cashed
04/21: NOA rec'd by mail for 3 forms
04/27: Biometrics appt letter rec'd
04/30: Biometrics complete, Early walk-in
05/03: RFIE Mailed
05/09: RFIE rec'd by NBC
06/24: "Fingerprint review completed"
10/02: Contacted Senator
10/06: SR
10/10: Contacted Congressman
11/01: "Request for Evidence Received" (egov update)
11/08: "Case is ready to be scheduled for interview"
11/16: 2nd SR

EAD out of processing time
Maryland Filer, Married to USC.

Adjustment of status: I130, I485 02/02
Biometrics Done: 02/26
EAD/AP applications submitted>Priority date 04/23 I765, I131
Interview: 10/29
I130 Approved on 11/08 and RFE (Updated I-693) for I485

I'm still waiting for my EAD/AP, and I'm in an urgent need of this to renew my work contract. The EAD/AP have been out of processing time more than 40 days, and I have submitted two tickets requesting information about my case. I need my EAD before 12/20, otherwise I will lose my job. On 11/28 I have an appointment at the immigration office. This was suggested by the officer during the interview.

I hope to resolve the situation of my EAD/AP during my appointment. Has anyone here had a similar experience? Any advice on how to proceed during my appointment and after? Do I have other alternatives?

Thank you,

GC EAD Timeline
Chicago Filer :Married to USC:

Priority Dt 07/13: I130,I485,I765
Received NOA 20/13
Biometrics Done: 08/20
GC EAD received with category C09 : 11/26
Total 136 Days from PD.
(No Congressman,Senator,No Expedition) Just waited for the normal process to take place.
 I485: Scheduled for Interview

Comments : Hang on tight, the wait time is hard and real. There is no day where i haven't checked for the status update once done with biometrics. There is huge backlogs at Chicago fieldoffice but in the end you will be happy once you receive the card in your hand.

My 2 cents Recommendation : Install USCIS Application on your phone and submit your applications for live status updates.
Create DHS account and USCIS online account for Mobile and email Notifications (though status update happens here with delay via your Form G1145 notifications which needs to be submitted with your initial application)
Register for USPS informed delivery updates and there you go !

My 5 months of Joblessness has come to an end.
Things learned : Patience and Perseverant Faith is the Key. Brush your skills, learn new skills and ofcourse Workout while you wait !

One last word, if you need a combo card(EAD+AP) apply both at the same time and the passport Photos SHOULD match.

Good Luck Guys :)

Case ready to be scheduled for interview but no EAD?
Hey all.

I’m a March filer still waiting for my EAD. (NBC filing out of CA) About a week ago I got an update on my I-485 saying my case is ready to be scheduled for an interview..
What update can I be expecting next? Will my ead be processed before my interview? Money is running low and this whole process has been a storm of stress and depression. :( Thanks

Denials
Hi all

I was just wondering do (c)(9) category EAD applications ever get denied? If yes what are some of the most common reasons?

Thanks

Got New card being produced
Pd: June 22 2018 (485,765,131)
July 25: Case ready to schedule interview, nothing about I-765 or AP
November 23: New card is being produced (at https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov nothing shows up at case tracker app or USCSIS)
Is that normal? How long it takes to set the status upgraded in all accounts?

I move in beginning of July and I informed USCSIS about new address while I received I-485 upgrade. It changes my address automatically for all forms right?

Please someone can help me?

Thank you
