EAD Renewal & Expedite
Hello all,

Thought I'd share my experience.

I first applied for my EAD in late Oct 2016, I received my card just over a month later in early Dec 2016.

I now had to renew as my current EAD expires on Dec 2nd. USCIS received my paperwork on Sept 14th. I was starting to get anxious as I was running out of time and could not afford to lose my job. I called today to request an expedite for "Severe Financial Loss" and was told I'd be contacted within 5 days. However, I checked again tonight and my case status went from Received to Card being Processed. Not sure if it was just a coincidence but Yay! What a relief!

My case went through the Vermont office and I'm on a L2 visa.

EAD expedite process
Hi guys,

I have a question. My receive date was july 9th, biometrics done august 1st, I had a RFE for spouses tax return on 10/25 and response was received by USCIS 11/1/18. I contacted congressman to help with EAD expedite as I have a job offer and they are getting impatient. I received a letter from congressman on 11/5/18 that my I-765 form is being sent for expedite review per USCIS. I have not hear anything since then and I know it's only been a week but I have read that people got their EAD approved within 5 days or so once approved for expedite review. My question is should I contact USCIS and raise a SR or ask them if they know anything about my case or just wait? I have called them in the past and have not had any luck with the officers helping me or giving me any update that was not already on the website.

Your help/input is appreciated.

There is hope with expediting the EAD process
Hi all. I applied for my L2 EAD renewal early September. My current EAD was expiring end of December and my employer told me that if I don't provide the renewed document by 10th Dec that I will lose my job.

I called USCIS last week and expedited my case based on financial hardship. After 4 days (yesterday) my card went in production and today it says my case was approved.

Moral of the story, the USCIS expedite worked for me and there is hope.

I won't have to leave my job now and things are good again.

Here are my dates:

EAD expiring - Dec 27 2018
Renewal applied - Sep 4 2018
Receipt date - Sep 6 2018
Expedited case - Nov 2 2018
Card in production - Nov 8 2018
Case approved - Nov 9 2018

Now waiting for card to come home.
And the best part, I did not have to send any proof. :)

A QUESTION HERE.
This is for those who have already gotten interview dates.
I was told that ppl's interview are scheduled on the DATE they were born. For example, if one was born on the 12 of a month, the interview would be on the 12 of any month.

Pls. enlighten me on this.
