Confused
Hello everyone, please i need guidance, am currently on f-1 visa, got married to a US citizen Feb 2018, filled for 1-485, 1-765, 1-130 on 12th June 2018 at California, on 25th June i did a change of address because me and my wife moved to pa. I did my bio-metrics 20th July 2018. And since then i have not seen any update on my case. Even the bio metrics i did was not updated on my profile when i checked online. Is it normal not to see the updates on the online tracking site?

EAD
Hi everyone,

I was a silent follower of this forum for a while and wanted to share with you my the timeline of my case,

Married to USC, C09 category.
PD for I-131, 765, 485 and 130: June 08, 2018
Biometrics: July 13
Sep 06: Expedited request based on job offer and financial loss (through a lawyer which cost me a lot). Mailed the entire package.
Sept 11: the only update I got was that they updated the notice of representation for the case
Sept 11: called and asked if they received the request. The L2 officer said no and asked me if I wanted to submit the expedited request over the phone, which I did.
Sept 20: received a letter asking to fax in evidence.
Sept 21: evidence faxed
Sept 25: called USCIS to check if they received the fax; no confirmation if they received it. L2 officer asked me to call back on Oct 2nd for updates
Sept 27: reached out congressman office and they submitted a request on my behalf
Oct 2nd: called USCIS and there were no updates. L2 officer asked me to wait for at least three weeks from the time they received the fax
Oct 10: Case was approved and new card is being produced

Recommendation: do everything you can in your hands. If you have a job offer, use it for your advantage. Congressman's office can be helpful. Good luck everyone.

Any Oct'17 filers here who are still waiting?
Hi all,

Here are some details of my case

I-765 received - Oct 24, 2017
F2A Category
Status - Case Received
Several SR's, no response except 'decision will be made shortly'
Contacted the Senator's office no help or response so far except, we have many requests and will process, can't confirm on a timeline
Case at NBC
Filed in Seattle
Priority Date (I-130) - July 25, 2016 (now current as of last month)

Currently on H1B and per lawyer's assurance traveled out of country this year while case was pending. Now the lawyer is saying that the AP will be denied (a rule change that came through late last year that applies to H1B, no travel while AP is pending).

Q - Anyone else traveled on H1B since late last year while EAD/AP pending and still go their AP?

Needless to add, this is excruciating. Any insights will be much appreciated.

EAD card returned to USCIS
Hey everyone , this is my story of how i got my EAD card after it was returned to USCIS by USPS.

on june 6th i received a notification from usps stating that they have delivered my card and it was nowhere to be found.
In this time frame i had applied for a new EAD card thinking my previous card was lost.
on june 18th my ead card had been returned to the USCIS and even after 4 months of trying , they still havent processed the return of my EAD card.
My new EAD card was mailed out to me on Oct 2.
Few things i have learned from this experience is - 1) you can always go to your local congressman, they will surely help you out.
2) Do not make any changes to the mail like changing its delivery instructions as it is not allowed on government issued mail and will be sent back to the USCIS.
3) the uscis ombudson also does really help out but this will be your last option.

Please act on your behalf as soon as you find your EAD card is lost or returned to the USCIS as it can be a huge pain and it will cost you a lot

Card is being produced
Hey guys,

I'm so happy I can't contain myself.😃😃 So after waiting for what seems like forever, my EAD is finally in process.

Here is my timeline:

C09- Married to USC
B1/B2 NY filer
Receive I-485, I-130, I-131, I-765: 2/20/18
I-765 returned because of updated form: 2/20/18
Sent I-765 again, PD: 3/26/18
I-485 interview ready to be scheduled: 4/18/18
I-131 Approved: 7/11/18
Filed SR for I-765: 9/26/18 (I would be able to file another if I didn't hear anything back 10/18/18)
Contact congressman: 10/5/18 ( I hear nothing from them)
Filed an expedite by myself by calling 1800 number : 10/11/18
My case is assign to an officer and email sent for evidence: 10/15/18
New card being produced: 10/17/18

As I was in the process of getting all the documents today for my expedite so I can fax them over to the number listed in the email, I got the update this afternoon that new card is being produced. I don't think anyone was more happier than me because let me tell you this wait is dreadful. I learn to be patient during the process but as my financial situation gets worst I began to worry and become ver impatient. Especially the fact that I'm over the normal processing time and o already filed a SR. In addition, others that filed after was already getting there's and I hear nothing about mine. For these reason, I was getting beyond frustrated and feel like giving up. I know the wait can be a killer but I'll say this, try to stay positive because this wait can lead to so many things. All the best to everyone and keep praying your time will come.🙏🏾🙏🏾

P.S. I didn't send the document for expedite because I was in the process of preparing them when I got the email today. All in all I think the expedite have something to do with my card in process now because I think if it wasn't for that my case wouldn't be assigned to an officer that fast. I would be still waiting.🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ By the way anyone know if I would automatically get the social security or I have to file for it at the SS office once I receive a EAD. Thanks again guys for helping me keep sane during this challenging time.

I am on a J-2 dependent visa with my wife as J-1 sponsored for maximum of 5 years.

Entered US start of July and sent off I-765 form soon after.

Date 'case received' - 18th July 2018
No change since then

Don't need biometrics as far as I know???.......

So fingers crossed its soon, 90 days tomorrow and I've started applying for jobs as recruitment times can be long and don't want to be stuck without work.

New Card Is Being Produced
Hi everyone,

I literally just woke up 30 minutes ago and had received the notification that my card is being produced! I literally cried for over 15 minutes.

Timeline is the following:

C09 - Married to USC
PD 06/01/2018
Case received 06/08/2018
Biometrics done 06/28/2018
RFE received 06/29/2018
RFE delivered to USCIS 07/11/2018
I-485 Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview 07/18/2018
Then nothing for 90 days until today when I received the notification that my i-765 - New Card is being produced 10/17/2018

Does anyone know how long does it usually take for the card to be delivered after it goes on production?

Thank you everyone!
