Hello guys, I've been a silent reader of this great site. I want to share my experience of my application for Green Card (I-485) and EAD renewal (I-765).
Sept 29, 2017 : PD - I-485 (under Cuban Adjustment Law) and I-131 Advaced Parole
Oct 04, 2017: Both Applications received
Nov 04, 2017: Biometrics appointment done
November 11, 2017: I-485 case ready to be scheduled for interview
December 26 2017: Advanced Paroled - 131 Approved and received 4 days later
----- no change in my green card application status in a while---
Because the I-485 application was taken longer time I decided to apply for my work permit (EAD) renewal since it expired in september 27, 2018.
July 01, 2018: PD I-765
July 04, 2018: Case received.
July 11, 2018: Case was updated to show that all fingerprints were taken (They considered my fingerprints
from I-485 november 11, 2017
Sept 16, 2018: Case Expedited by call.
Sept 17, 2018: Email received requesting for evidence of severe financial loss
Sept 19, 2018: Employment letter explaining severe financial losses for me and the company faxed to
USCIS
--- No response for the expedite request ---
Sept 25, 2018: I decided to raise the case with my cogressman since my current work permit expired in two
days
Sept 25, 2018: All documentation requested by the cogressman was emailed really quick.
SEPT 27, 2018: Last day at work, work permit expired :/
October 05, 2018: New card for I-765 being produced :-) so happyyyy
October 11, 2018: Card was mailed to me
Now expecting to pickup my card tomorrow Sept 15, 2018.
October 11, 2018: Interview for I-485 was scheduled
So my conclusion is that the congressman really helped to overcome my situation . My I-765 case was under normal time.

No expedite No congressional help. I called USCIS a week before
about my cases and they said ‘my case is on normal processing time frame’
My cases just happened naturally lol. I thank God. Hopefully to get my
precious combo card by Friday!

Hello, guys! Any end of June or first days of July filers whose I-765 status has been already updated to "New Card is Being Produced" or already with their EAD in hands? My PD (c09 category) is June 29 and still waiting... Thanks!!!

Still nothing about EAD .. hopefully status will change soon

Are there any Dec 2017 filers here..or anyone from Atlanta.
How long did it take to recieve your EAD..i have sent numerous SRs and the reply is the same your case is still under review.so discouraging. Does ATL generally take longer..let me know.thanks.

Call uscis expediate Sept 21 case assigned to officer, and also Sept 21 expediate completed(NOTHING)
Oct 1 Did service reqt outside normal process time not assigned to officer
Oct 3 contact congressman, sent release waiver form
Oct 10 emailed congressman no update yet from uscis
Oct 12 called congressman ofc still no update , i should allow up to 30days before they can take further action
Oct 12 got email back from congress ofc received update, and will initiate expediation, and will adjudicate asap
Oct 12 Got a msg from my app New card being produced!😊
Guys Congressman work wonders!!! My say on this to everyone BE PROACTIVE

November 3 2017 filer here, i would like some advise re my I 765, on September 10, 2018 I was told that my case was denied and was told that I would have received a letter in the mail from that day. Until now I haven't receive any letter in the mail , I called USCIS today and spoke with L 2 officer and created another SR, and the SR stated Based on administrative error your case was assigned to an officer for response, can anyone shed some light on my experience.

When I contacted senator's office and made an ombudsman request, I wrote what my life situation is and what difficulties I have gone through because of not having permission to work. If you are going through difficult conditions in your life because of not having permission to work, contact senator/congresswoman-man office and ombudsman office.
