Dad timeline
It's been 73 days And still no news ..long story short I'm married to a us citizen and filed for employment since the 485 seems to be taking for too long. Now ok it's been 73 days since I filed uh I 765 and all my status shows is "on February 16 we received blabla .......sent you a notice that notice that describe how we process your case Please follow instructions in notice......."
Now the notice their talking about is nothing but my biometrics appointment.. and got them done like a month and half ago and still nothing changes in the status..I witnessed some cases that went a lot faster than mine ..they even received a notice that their cards are being either produced or already sent to them ...
Now I'm lost .can any body explain how this whole thing works ..??
I read cases of people who waited 123 days before a decision was made ..
This is crazy !!!!

EB3 category
Hello all,

Anyone here filled concurrently adjustment of status and EAD under employment based category? If so, have you received your EAD? I submitted mine on 10/25/17 and still waiting...according to the case processing times I am well overdue. Of course, no communication from USCIS

Should I do something else?
Hi guys!

So today is my 165th day of waiting. I wrote to my congressman who wrote back to me on April 16th saying that USCIS was gonna expedite my case. It is now May 1st and I still have no signs of anything. Should I contact my congressman again? or someone else? Or is it too early (since last email from him)?

Thanks for your help

Driver License Renewal While Waiting for EAD
My current driver license will expire on 5/8 which is the same day as my current EAD card. What kind of document will I need to bring in order to renew my driver license? Has anyone had similar experience?

Expedite situation
Hi guys,

I was hoping I could get some advice on my expedite situation:

PD:01/25
Bio:02/23
Contacted senator: 02/11
End of February: Senator couldn't help (too early)
1st SR: 04/11
Contacted Congressman :04/11
2nd SR: 04/25(90 days)
Contacted ombudsman: 04/25
Response from ombudsman: "still in processing time": 04/30
Expedite:04/30
Expedite request assigned to an officer, response sent, expedite request completed, 2SR's request completed:04/30

So now I'm waiting on the expedite request for proof in the mail because my OPT EAD is expiring May 11. I also have a joint sponsor. Will having a JT sponsor get my expedite denied since I'm supposed to have financial support through them? Anyone get approved while having a JT sponsor?

I'm just trying to keep my job...*sigh*

EAD card
AOS - Category EB3

My 140 got approved, I applied I-485, I-765, and I-131 all together with the job offer on 03/15/2018.
Had my fingerprint on 04/16/2018. I was wondering when will I get my EAD. It's been 1.5 months, will I get faster than average time frame because of my job offer?

Can you please share your experience?

Thank you in advance.

EAD Extension??
Hi,

Have any of you here had experiences with automatic 180 day extension of EAD? I filed the i-765 before my work permit expired (1/18) in hopes of getting it before then.

I start my new job May 9th and I have to fill out an i-9. What do I have to do to get it extended for 180 days?

I filed to get my case expedited, if it gets denied does that delay my process? Currently the processing date of the field office is 12/2 and i filed 12/4 I would hate to have this delay my card.

Please help!!

EAD Update!

Hello guys,

I just wanted to take the time to share my timeline with you all --- I know the struggle is real.

Married to a U.S. Citizen
PD: Dec 12, 2017
Biometrics: Jan 24, 2018
Feb 5: I-485 "We are scheduling your interview."
Center: NBC
April 23: We are producing your card
April 24: We approved your case
April 26: We mailed your card to you
April 27: I received the notice in the nail
April 30: Card delivered to my mailbox

I want to thank you all for sharing your experiences on this forum. They have been very useful.
All I can say at this point is have faith and patience. Your turn is coming. And please, don't take anything personal. I don't think immigration has anything against us. I just think the system is backlogged.

L2 Spouse EAD timeline
Hi all,

Was lucky enough to this morning receive confirmation that my EAD card is being produced.

Has been difficult at times but was lucky enough to have the support of a wonderful wife.

Timeline below

January 10: Application received (Sent to Texas, processed at Vermont.

April 11: Submitted SR via phone. Received response following day saying case was within processing time.

April 16: Contacted Ombudsman via - https://cisomb.dhs.gov/oca/form7001.aspx. Received response April 20 saying case was within processing time.

Today, Monday April 30: Received confirmation via text and Case Tracker app that 'new card is being produced'.

I know there are worse off than me in this group, I consider myself one of the lucky ones to be ever so close to having my card in my hand after 109 days.

I wish you all the best and happy to answer questions if you have any.

God speed to you all!
