EAD Expedite
All,

Can I expedite my Adjustment of Status based EAD without my biometrics done?
I am on OPT EAD and it's expiring soon.

Suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you.

EAD Pending like forever part II
hi Everyone,

I am back with no update obviously because :) but again its 147 days pending from the date of case received and 100 days from the fingerprint applied to EAD/ i765.

We reached put to our congressman and we got response "We can not help you right now as your application is still under the given processing time, please reach out to us if it takes more than processing time and currently NBC is focusing on important cases such as healthcare workers and all ".

We informed them that my project is ending by end of this month which is a fact and all the documents associated with it were attached to the emails that we sent .As Post getting released i have 15 days to find project as per company policy or I have to travel back to my country as I am deputed employee on H1B. eventually this is not important :(

I had a job offer expiring coming Monday if I fail to provide EAD details prior to that. I hope and pray for everyone , and again below are my timelines just in case .

I am H1B married to US Citizen , below are our timelines (NBC Center):

12/13/2019 - USCIS care received i765, i485, i130

1/29/2020 - fingerprints relating to your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number , have been applied to your case.

2/13/2020 - we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

Good luck everyone and I pray for you all to get your EAD's on time :)

I 765
Hi everyone , my AOS case ( married to USC) was accepted by USCiS in october 16 2019
Biometrics were applied to my case in November 25
Since then all three ( I 130, I 485 , I 765) all have the same ‘Case was updated to show fingerprimts were taken” status.
Service center is :NBS
Field office is : Mount Laurel , NJ
Is there anyone with same timeline ?
I see some November filers already got their EAD and i still did not.
Oh forgot to tell, my I-485 status changed to ‘Case reopened ‘ even i did not have an interview or anything yet, it just says it was reopened .
I see the estimate processing time for EAD for NBC is 5.5 -7.5 months and now they are reviewing cases accepted in October 6 . As i said earlier , i see November even January filers already getting their EAD , thus wondering if the processing time is accurate or i should start worrying
Thank you in advance

I saw few folks who's EAD got approved way back but did NOT get the EAD CARD in timely manner;
Here is my timeline;

4/23 - we ordered your card (i765)
4/23 - case approved (both i765, i131 got notification around same time)
4/28 - We ordered your card (i765)

no updates after that - however i got my SSN in mail yesterday. but no updates on EAD yet!!
What should i expect? should i contact USCIS?

PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS/EXPERIENCES... Thanks

Expedite Request was approved on Feb 10, since then no change
Hello, is anyone in similar situation? My expedite request was approved on Feb 10th 2020, since then nothing changed. I know for some people it takes 10 days to get approved and receive an EAD card.

EAD extension
Hello everyone,

I recently had to stop working because my EAD expired and I sent in the extension application closer to the expiry date of my EAD. My company said they will hire me back and if I got the receipt number so I tried ombudsman and USCIS to speed up the process of getting the receipt number. Unfortunately, that's something out of their control and suggested me to wait for its natural course.

Usually, HRs send reminders to their employees if their employment status is expiring or changing. And I didn't initiate the process because I had a GC interview coming up and wasn't really liking my workplace. Sadly, because of COVID 19, the interview was cancelled and that made me decide to stick to this workplace. Better to have a job than none yeah?

I finally got the receipt notice after 28 days and sent a copy to the HR. The HR said they needed approval now and that they wouldn't hire me with the receipt notice (because "we don't want to take a chance" I don't know what they mean by that), even though it was clearly mentioned about the automatic 180-day extension (starting from the expiry date of my EAD). They also said they would have helped me with expediting the card only if I was still employed with them.

Fast forward to now, The status is changed to "card is being produced". I'm not sure how long it would take for my card to arrive but hopefully this will work for my HR to continue with the hiring process.

This is my process.
Married to citizen (AOS pending)

Applied the whole package on Nov 2018

Expedite EAD card arrives on March 21st 2019 (ombudsman + congresswoman+ USCIS)

Applied for EAD extension on March 15th 2020, (I-765 and I 131 forms)

EAD card expires March 18th, 2020.

GC interview cancelled on March 25th, 2020.

Received notices for both applications on April 11th and April 14th 2020.

EAD card is being produced on May 6th, 2020.

From my previous experience, it took 3-4 days from 'card is being produced' to receiving the card in mail. Since its COVID I don't know if that is affected.

Good luck everyone, thanks.

Green Card EAD pending
Hi All,

My PD is 12/16/19. Married to USC. Application pending at NBC

I am on OPT and my current OPT ends on first week of June. I am currently working as Full Time employee and I requested expedite by calling USCIS on April 4th that I will be terminated from the job if I don't get my EAD before May 31st. My expedite request was rejected without asking for any proof.

I then reached out Congressman on April 9th and submitted all the necessary documents. I followed-up twice with my Congressman but they responded that they haven't heard from the USCIS and USCIS has 30 days to respond to Congressional inquiries.

I haven't received Interview date for I-485 yet.
1) Can I still get my EAD before my I-485 interview being scheduled?
2) Has anyone waited this long for the Congressional inquiries?
3) How long does it usually take if USCIS approves EAD by May 2nd week? Should I still have hope that I would get my EAD before May 31st in case it gets approved by May 2nd week.

Any help would be much appreciated.

EAD production after approval
Hello. my I-765 was approved 2 weeks ago, but was never sent for card production! It stuck in "case was approved"
Has anyone experienced that recently? When I called customer service, I was told to wait 2 months. I feel it's too long and I can't work without the actual EAD.
Please advise.

REF for EAD
Hello,

I did not respond to an RFE (asked to send a photograph with specific requirements) on my EAD , due tot he COVID lockdown and also as my visa was about to expire in 20 days. I have received the receipt for extension already.
My question is that - will that affect my future EAD applications?

Thanks.
