Finally an update
Hi all,

Wanted to share my timeline as I’ve finally received an update on my EAD renewal (Nebraska).

August 16th - receipt notice
January 15th - called customer service and spoke to an immigration officer who told me to be patient and that my card should be sent within a week.
February 2nd - raised SR for case outside of regular processing times
February 22nd - infopass appointment. The lady said she put in a priority request as the case was beyond processing times listed on the website (they were currently reviewing October application and mine had been filed in August). No updates on the website at all to show the request but she said I should hear back within two weeks.
February 26th - reached out to senator and congressman to ask for help with my case. No response (they might have contacted USCIS without letting me know though)
February 27th - reached out to ombudsman and asked for immediate assistance based on financial loss to company. They asked for evidence, which I sent straight away and was told they would review it and get back to me.
February 28th - ombudsman contacted USCIS about my case (they never got back to me about the evidence for priority request)
March 7th - USCIS responded to my SR from February 2nd “your card is currently under review and you will receive a response or other notice of action shortly”
March 8th - online status updated to “card being produced”

I have no idea which one of the steps I took helped in the end but I’m sure it’s something I’ve done in the past 2 weeks. My gut tells me it’s most likely the ombudsman. Regardless, I’m so relieved as my 180-day extension is ending on March 14th!

Potomac: 153 days and no ead
Application received on 5th october 2017. New EAD OPT. Raised multiple SR and called USCIS customer care multiple times and got no satisfactory answer. Today I spoke to L2 officer and she said that they were currently processing 1st october 2017 cases and my application is within USCIS processing time. This doesn't make any sense as I have waited over 5 months ( this is not within processing time for sure) and I know many people who applied after me and got EAD within 90 days. Anyone else having similar issues with potomac center?

EAD Processing Time
Hi all,

I submitted my application on 12/01/2017
USCIS received it on 12/05/2017
Notice Date: 12/08/2017
Fingerprint 01/04/2017
I-765 "Case Was Received"-> last update: December 5, 2017
I-130 "Case Was Received"->last update: December 5, 2017
I-485 "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview"->last update: January 18, 2018

Is there any correlation in terms of approval between I-765 and I-485? My EAD processing time is over 90 days based on the I-765's last update.

What's the best way of communication with the USCIS folks and asking application status?

Thanks!
